The room was exactly as stated, it was very clean. Step outside and you are directly downtown Asheville. Will stay here again.

Convenient location to downtown .. rooms are dated but clean and simple .. only problem was the weekend traffic noise which isn’t the faultOf the hotel of course. I’d stay again but on other side of building .. it’s affordable way to see downtown Ashland area

We knew going into our stay that the hotel was old. But it was definitely older and more run down than I expected. The bedding and towels appeared clean thankfully, as well as the toilet and shower, but the room definitely needs to updating and upkeep (think dirty walls, cracked shower tiles, old gross carpet). The young lady that checked us in was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. But the older lady that was at the front desk the second day was very pleasant at least. The location was great to be able to walk to all the downtown shops. But there are a LOT of homeless people who hang out in the streets surrounding the hotel and they are not shy about asking for money when you walk by. Just things to keep in mind if you stay here.
