About this cottage rental
Unplug with the whole family at this peaceful lake front property on Hyco Lake. Amazing dock with slide and kayaks, stunning views with even better sunsets, large fire pit area with a Yukon SoloStove, huge deck with 10+ dining seating, and spacious two level living area. Perfect home for your yearly family gathering, small or big, w/ 5 bedrooms that include bunks and a toddler bed or grab a bunch of friends & take advantage of the fun basement and lake activities off the private covered dock!
20 mins to Roxboro/Danville, including VIR and A NEW CAESARS CASINO!
Upstairs: King Primary w/ primary shower/bath and sliding doors w/deck access, queen bedroom w/shared shower/bath and sliding doors w/deck access, queen bedroom w/shared bathroom, kitchen w/pantry, living room w/sliding door deck access
Downstairs: Twin over full bunkbeds w/ extra toddler bed and pack-n-play, shared shower, queen bedroom w/shared shower, family room w/huge TV perfect for movie nights, pop-a-shot basketball game, and air hockey table!
Dock: No boat lift usage, please use dock cleats to tie up your boat. Please enjoy the slide, SunChill float, and kayaks responsibly at your own risk. There are life jackets provided in the dock house free for guest usage. Be aware of littles near the water and we suggest making a rule that life jackets must be worn at all times when near the water.
Boat rental: If you get the itch for additional water activities, you can call NC Marine for boat/jet ski/paddle board rentals. If you’re interested message us and we can send you the number.
Parking: There's a long, paved driveway with a spacious parking area in front of the house. Enough room to fit as many cars as necessary, plus a boat trailer!

This house truly is perfect for "WINE-ding Down." Cell signal is best out front for calls, but fine everywhere for texting. Satellite Wi-Fi is our only option on Hyco (we use Starlink) and it may not be the speed you’re used to at home. Please take this into consideration when booking.

"Wine Down” with a glass of wine on the deck as the sun sets. We welcome you to partake in our “take one, leave one” wine fridge! Leave your favorite bottle of wine and try a new one that a previous guest has left. We all love a good time, but please stick to the ”take one, leave one” philosophy so that guests after you can enjoy as well.

This is a lovely property that met all of our needs. There were 5 adults and 3 children who stayed there for 4 days and nights. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The kids loved fishing off the dock and using the sliding board and we all enjoyed the kayaks. The hosts were accessible and responsive. I highly recommend this property. We would definitely rent it again.

The location of this property was perfect! Nice and quiet. Had everything we needed and the host checked in on us frequently via email. We got a bit lost taking the trash to the drop off and Tamsyn was there with a response almost immediately to help us! The home is laid out really well for a larger group. We had adult children and the basement with a living area and two bedrooms was perfect for them to have their own space while the older crowd enjoyed the main level. The family is all raving about how much fun it was. Highly recommend this vacation home!
