The Homestay Get Away

Garden, kitchen, wet room. Quiet area. Great location. In fact everything was fine!

The room was comfortable and clean. We had our own bathroom and the use of the kitchen - with breakfast and tea/coffee. Also the use of the garden and lounge if we wanted. Peter the host was fantastic. He was very kind & friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. We will definitely return!

Very friendly host. Peter was very welcoming into his homestay, allowed us to come a bit early as we were with a lot of luggage. Homestay had all facilities up to date and was very convenient. Kitchen was well stocked and Peter invited us to use all facilities and even things he had stocked. Homestay is a cozy place which we enjoyed for 4 days. Peter even dropped us to the station twice which was a heart warming gesture from him. We thank him for that. We will certainly go back to his place if we are in margate again. Peter has a lot of maritime antiques which he collected some of them himself from ship wrecks, he showed to us. He had great stories to tell including the antiques. We enjoyed the stay.

I stayed at The Homestay Get Away in Margate and had a great experience! It’s actually a lovely house, not a typical hotel, and the host, Peter, was very welcoming and kind. The place was clean, fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, and had a cosy, homely atmosphere. It’s located about a 25-minute walk from Margate town centre and just 14 minutes on foot from the nearest beach. I truly enjoyed my time there and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Margate.
