Le Marnage Vacation Home Near the Harbor, Beach, and Fiber-Optic Internet

We very much enjoyed a one week stay at Le Marnage. We were extremely lucky in that every day was unusually hot and sunny meaning we could take advantage of the excellent local beaches which were within walking distance. It did mean we didn't get into town or sightsee the local area as much as we anticipated but when we did it was a short, picturesque walk to the quayside cafes in pristinely maintained Barfleur.The house was very clean and well equipped and came with extremely comfortable beds (bedding and plenty of towels supplied), perfectly suited to our family of four but could accommodate more, if required. No green space but the large outside terrace with colourful border plants was a safe space for our children to play (although you could park your car there instead if you wanted - we left ours directly outside on the street where it was perfectly safe).Antoine was a relaxed, friendly and efficient host who provided all the details required in a timely manner.Finally, don't miss a trip to the Phare de Gatteville lighthouse - a solid granite gem!

Just returned from a wonderful 5 day break staying in Antoine's house located 5/7 minutes from Barfleur's pretty harbour. Antoine was the perfect host, promptly answering any queries we had before the visit. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with plenty of cookware, plates and glasses and everything a family would need for eating in (we actually preferred to eat out in one of the lovely little quayside restaurants). Our only minor issue was that although neither the provision of towels nor of bed linen was specifically mentioned in the English Listing Description, we had assumed that both would be included in our rental. On arrival we found that although bedlinen was provided, towels were not. Not a great issue as we bought some but hopefully this can be clarified in the Listing. Overall, we loved the house and Barfleur and would definitely return when an opportunity presents itself.

Très belles vacances dans une grande maison très agréable et propre, à la sortie du bourg et à proximité du port de Barfleur très joli . balades pieds dès la maison possible.proprietaire très arrangeant.

Très bon accueil de la part d'Antoine. La maison nous a immédiatement séduits par sa luminosité, son agencement et sa décoration sobre. Le gite est bien situé et au calme, de plus le port et les commerces sont accessibles à pieds. Location très agréable.
