Nuits au Grenier de Chartres

Lekker ruim, alles is er wat je nodig hebt. En schoon!

Het is best warm in de zomer maar er staan ventilatoren dus dat ging dan prima!

L' accueil, la localisation. Dans une partie de Chartres où beaucoup de beaux bâtiments sont visibles.

Parking un peu compliqué. Mais parking gratuit à 500m. Si vous n'avez pas de difficultés pour marcher ce n'est pas un souci. Je ne conseille pas aux personnes ayant des soucis de mobilité comme le nom l'indique il y a deux étages a monter dans un escalier a colimaçon.

A fabulous locatioon- close to the cathedral on a @ looped” walk that the host, Pierre, showed us. After seeing the light show, we walked it and stumbled on a fine restaurant… “ Le Moulin Pontoise”. We knew we could do with a bit of luxury before sleeping in the attic with a fan( as there’s no air conditioning). The attic feels genuinely medieval and, after a good night’s sleep we all agreed that even though there was a heatwave the experience was worthwhile. The host was particularly pleasant( had told us we could keep the two fans on all night but, in fact, we only used one.There were some basics in the fridge and a very good coffee machine which was nice too. All in all, we delighted with our stay one night stay…

Well, bear in mind that the attic is high up, the third floor.. so there are some steps to climb!
