El Tropico Boutique Hotel

The location of this hotel is fantastic. They had several pools and it was a joy to use the adult only pool. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and they looked after us very well. We were even upgraded to a Villa room with our own pool and I have to say that was just a treat!

The breakfast buffet was a bit lacking in things. I would say the cooked options were alright but overall the food left something a bit to be desired.

There are many cosy seats around the pool areas with plug-in stations. The staff is very friendly. Close to all the bars and restaurants.

Unfortunately the shower did't have any warm water despite asking the staff multiple times to fix it. The sun beds in front of the room had some stains. Be prepared that the daily prayers can be heard in your room, since a Mosque is directly located next to the hotel. We recommend the usage of earplugs.

Unbelievable location. Right on the strip and next to all the good restaurants and bars. The communal pool are is the highlight of this hotel: its massive with great sun beds all around it. The derive is exceptional around the pool and they bring you delicious cocktails and snacks swiftly. There is also a daily happy hour which was good. The whole hotel is a good vibe for young people, not sure I would recommend it to older guests. This hotel is located in Kuta which is probably tbe coolest place in Lombok. So much going on every night. It’s a Propa vibe if you like going out.

We needed to change rooms and the hotel dealt with it quickly and professionally.

We LOVED our stay at El Tropico. The staff upgraded our accommodation to a villa, which offers more privacy and calm as further away from the bar. We really appreciated this gesture. The main pool is really big and always warm. Their breakfast is also delicious, offering a mix of Indonesian and western options. The hotel is located on the main vibrant street of Kuta, close to many restaurants, shops and massages places.
