Siesta Key, Private Crescent Beach 2/2 Getaway

Good communication and we were excited to get a little earlier check in

It was our first visit to Siesta Key, even tho we just live an hour away. The condo was in a perfect location. You don’t have to bring anything. The condo has beach towels, boogie boards, wagon, noodles, sand toys and much more. The trolley stopped not far from the entrance to the condo and took us up and down the island. The private beach entrance was just down the road from the condo where you had chairs and a company that you can rent umbrellas from. The information book in the condo had phone numbers, and information about restaurants and other activities which was really helpful. The only con from our stay is the condo is on the second floor, and there is no elevator. We are a little older and draggy all our stuff, and beach stuff up the stairs can be a little hard. The host answered all our inquiries quickly. It’s a great place and location for families. Lots of kids and families on the beach. Siesta Key will now be the only beach we visit from now on!

I give the host and the management a 5 out of 5 because the communication is excellent and will try to take care of any issues upon arrival the best they can for a dated unit . As far as the unit and the building - like many places in siesta key ..it’s dated and probably has not had a renovated in about 20 years except for cosmetic paint and maybe some furniture and decor . The tile floor is old and thought dirty but it’s just how it looks with chips and scuff marks - the bathroom in the master bedroom is so tiny, smaller then a small trailor or boat bathroom and for somebody older , risky getting in and out of the shower as it also floods water outside on the small rubber landing step when opening the shower .. there is barely room to exit the shower - I think building this bathroom was an afterthought in squeezing in the bedroom .. mold also noted inside shower on both bathrooms .. The advertised pool is a block and half up the sandy drive from the apartment unit and in the side of the road . I did not notice anybody at all using it during our stay of four days probably because of the location and very unimpressive - just a small rectangular sort of a motel pool .The master bedroom bed mattress is overly to soft so not good for back and neck support and I need of replacement . We were on second floor ..and there is some plastic furniture to sit the floor below but nothing special. There is a large dumpster at end of patio .
