The terrace was fantastic, and the view was very beautiful. The location was good. It was within walking distance of both the train station and the beach, although it is worth mentioning there are many hills so not good for elderly or disabled. The apartment was bright, had all necessities and had air conditioning.

The furniture on the terrace was terrible. Both the sofa and the dining chairs were very uncomfortable to sit in, so we didn’t feel like using the terrace very much, which is a bit sad as the view from the terrace was the main reason we chose this apartment. In addition, there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom at times, and it was not clean. The bathroom door frames were rotten at the bottom, with paint peeling off. There was a lot of noise at night every night from a neighbours two dogs (outside in a yard) who barked constantly for hours, very loudly, which also made us not enjoy the terrace as much. Some nights there were rustling noises at night once we turned the lights off, that sounded like either rodents or large insects. One morning, there were be debris on top of the toilet and on the floor that had not been there the night before, resembling insect shells or wings from a dried bug. Probably from the fan above the toilet. The electrical outlets in the kitchen needed to be handled with care. The covers would come loose every time a plug was removed. I tried to snap them back into place as best I could, but they were all very loose. The refrigerator also had a strange smell inside. Overall, the property was not clean. The surface cleaning was acceptable, but the cleaning in the corners and on the floors was poor. There was dried bird droppings on the clean towels in the cupboard, most likely because they had been dried outdoors. The drying rack had rust spots, which left rust marks on clothing. My mother and I place great importance on cleanliness when we go on our “girls trips” and we are also happy to do some cleaning ourselves during our stay. We are not overly picky, but this was far below the standard we expect from accommodation listed on Booking.com.
