Nightmare! Keep well away!!

Location, was excellent. Near beach and shops. Apartment clean Freezer , washing machine Lots of pots and pans .... more than any one would need on holidays...no tea spoons?!!! Nice shower Neighbours, as they helped rescue us numerous times, either to get in to apartment or out of it!!

Appears to be a residential (holiday) block of flats. The whole building needs up dating, Difficult communication with "sole agent" Was advised I would be meet at premises ( obviously a language mistake. ) Dark corridor, light out side door not working, (reported not fixed) Locks , on door, a nightmare, couldn't lock or open door on numerous occasions. Apartment very small and dated. Towels,tea towel,sheets.,grey,very worn. Balcony tiny, railings rusted, not safe.(have photos) Curtains, poor quality and too narrow. Not suitable for families at all , too small and unsafe. Pool area has 2 sun loungers,... yes just 2 and some chairs Surprised to find this poor quality apartment on Booking.com.

Super cute apartment and great host

Location of apartment is good close to beach, promenade, supermarkets and pubs/restaurants. Cute little apartment we'll equipped and modern. Contact with host was great 👍

Size of apartment. Super cute and ideal for 2 people but for 4 it was a little cramped. Although we managed for 4 nights as we wasn't in their all that much so not a big deal after all you don't go away to stay indoors! Sofa bed not very comfortable

Our stay

The apartment was in a great location with lidls and aldis right near it plus a lovely little bakery 2 doors down, which was perfect for getting your fresh bread in the morning. Only a 5 mins walk to the beach and bars. In a great location, you couldn't fault it. The kitchen had a very small oven but it was ok to use, had all utensils and pots and pans etc that you needed. Washing machine was a nice touch and considering how much it costs to bring luggage on flights these days, we opted to bring one large 20 kg bag between the 3 of us so needed to wash our clothes, washing line out on the balcony and they supplied clothes pegs. Hairdryer supplied which was great as I didn't bring one. They also supplied towels. Nice pool! Overall a nice property.

Now this is a real shame to write this as before this incident happened we was extremely happy with our apartment and the lady that checked us in, all was going great until the last day! I had put in a request for a late check out, which you are able to do on booking.com and I got a message saying they can confirm this and was happy to accommodate us for our request. I messaged back saying can you confirm that this is ok? Which they replied yes of course, do not worry. So we was thinking fantastic we will have the day to be able to relax on ths beach then come back and get packed and ready for the airport. WELL I then get a phone call from my son saying that the cleaner had let herself in and told him he had to get out and that she was there to clean the apartment. I then received a phonecall from someone in their offices telling me that we shouldn't be in there and that I was lying saying I had not been given permission for a late check out!! Which I clearly had...by someone! I had proof, it was in writing! He then proceeded to keep saying I am telling the truth not you! His customer service skills was atrocious! I then literally ran back to the apartment to quickly pack everything up, luckily I had packed the big case in the morning before I went out. So we literally had 10 mins to throw everything in bags and was put out the apartment. I then tried contacting the lady who checked us in to send the proof and to talk to her ( which she didn't pick up the phone) she then WhatsApp me saying no 12! That was it! I then messaged the office and he proceeded to make accusations that i was threatening him and that I was lying, he was extremely rude!! No customer service skills whatsoever. I made no threats just simply explaining to him that someone had made a big mistake! We was put out at 1pm our flight was at 8pm, straight off the beach hot and sweaty standing outside with our bags! Having to try and make a plan of what to do!

Good

The to be clear we booked this apt as it was at the cheaper end of what was available and we only needed a place to sleep, shower and have a quick dip in a pool, as we would be out most of the time. We got what we needed. If you like to spend lots of time at the apt or cook and want to sit out on a balcony with lovely views this apt wont be for you. It is a good base to explore from. Main good points; Location - main bus routes for the area outside the door. We went to Belamadena Pueblo, Mijas, cable cars and Torremolinos Centre all from the front door! Train up and down coast is a 15 min walk at Montmare Alto. 5 min to beach and supermarkets, bars. 15 mins walk to Belamadena Marina. Map on bookings isnt quit correct for location. Facilities- aircon was great, hairdryer, washing machine, to keep beach clothes fresh, bed was good (sofa bed ok for kids). Complex - small complex friendly mix of people, kept to a good standard clean and communal areas looked freshly painted. Pool was very good a real plus point, well kept and decent size for a dip. Not a big loud pool with kids slides and games which suited us. Friendly helpfulness of Claudia on arrival, she reaches out on whatsapp the day before you arrive to sort out final details and was there to meet us as promised.

Not really things we didn't like more comments to help improve the experience, the bottom line is the apt did what we expected, but you need to be clear about what you expect when you book. Fix a couple of small maintenance points (I think raised before) front door and bathroom door a little tricky to use. Tap in kitchen sink is a bit wonkey and a quick lick of paint would make it feel fresher (but it was clean). It is worth noting that the immediate outside area is looking a wee bit run down due to businesses that have probably closed due to pandemic and some graphity on hoarding around a development area. Totally appreciate this is not something the property can address but it did make me initially question my decision when we arrived. We have stayed at very similiar small apartments in other areas in Spain for £100 to £150 cheaper but it seemed to more expensive in this area. Still decent value.

washing machine was somewhat broken, so it wasn’t possible to use it as needed. also there is no kettle and there is a known issue with the faucet (as rieltor said “yeah, it is dancing”).

NADA!! Nunca me dejaron ingresar al apto . Me dejaron en la calle, pagué cuatro noche y nunca avisaron de ningún depósito a la hora de llegar me negaron la entrada y no les importó nada, aparte de eso nunca me devolvieron el dinero . No lo recomiendo!!

Ubicación, limpieza del apartamento y piscina.

Falta de luz total en balcón y luz principal en dormitorio, también se agradecería la del tocador del baño. El sofá cama no es cómodo. Para niños pequeños todavía, para adolescentes no resulta cómodo. El toallero de la ducha está suelto y no se puede utilizar. Falta de juego de llaves. Los vecinos cierran continuamente las puertas de la piscina, te vas tranquilo a ducharte mientras tú pareja se queda en la piscina y justo en ese hueco algún vecino cierra la puerta de acceso a los apartamentos, y ya tienes que estar saliendo a la carrera para bajar dos plantas y abrir una puerta. Además, la puerta principal, que al ser accionada a través del teléfonillo de entrada y el teléfono móvil, resulta de todo menos práctico. Un día llegamos más allá de las doce de la noche, teniendo que llamar al telefonillo y molestar a todos los vecinos. Si sale alguien temprano del apartamento y quiere acceder por la puerta principal lo mismo, toca llamar al timbre y despertar a todos los miembros de la familia. Sin contar con que estuvo algo más de un día sin funcionar el acceso a través del móvil. Fácil solución con la llave de entrada principal y un juego doble de llaves.

La ubicación está muy bien , pero hay cosas a mejorar

Nos encantó la ubicación. Muy bien ubicado a dos manzanas de la playa.

Creo que metiendo un poquito de dinero se pueden mejorar algunas cosas del piso. La alcachofa de la ducha no se sujeta y es bastante incómodo. Los mandos de los aires acondicionados no tienen pila. La luz del cuarto no tiene bombillas, solo funcionan la luces de las camas. No había escoba.... Tuvimos que comprar insecticida porque había cucarachas...

Tele es muy antiguo,normalmente los tele en apt.son de smart t.v ya..ademas el wifi de piso es muy potente y mi parecen esta muybien si cambia el tele de smart.. No encontramos escoba,como hemos construmbado limpiar un poco de apt.cada vez que tenemos viaje no encontramos pero hay cubo y pregona hemos usado eso para limpiar el apt.pero los demas esta todo muybien.espero cuando volvemos el tele ya esta cambiado ppr modoerno
