The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the breakfasts were excellent. The hotel was a short drive to the Eden project and the lost gardens of Heligan.

This is a classic old-fashioned (in a good way) holiday guest house, with attentive and very helpful hosts. The cereals, yogurt and fruit for breakfast were excellent, but the cooked breakfast was only OK.
Getting in and out across a main road was a bit dodgy. There was no table in the bedroom, so I had to use the breakfast room in the evening to use my laptop - that worked fine though.

The hotel room was comforatble with all the facilities one could expect including biscuits and a supply of teand coffee, Telly in the room .En suite facilites were perfect allowing complete privacy too. The cornish "Full" Breakfast provided by Steve the owner was just perfect and plentyful. Everything at breakfast was provided and it would be hard to criticise in any way.
Nothing was missed out as far as we were concerned. The hotel is quant and full of character with a great summer room to relax in of an evening with an honesty bar spawned in Covid where you get what you wnat and it's added to the bill at checkout.

Friendly, warm hosts; flexible and helpful with a couple of non-standard requests; it is a homely place where you are made to feel welcome; cold breakfast options were good, even including a decent yoghurt.
Our room was dusty and there were biscuit crumbs on one of the sides. It felt like it had not been cleaned thoroughly for some time. The whole place seemed a bit tired. The cooked breakfast options were fairly basic, processed, and heavy - just very average for a guest house - so I have no idea why some reviewers have called the breakfast "amazing". The place was nice overall, but like one of the other reviewers has commented, our experience did not correspond with the strangely excessive positive reviews on here.
