Nice location, well away from any noise and traffic. Walking from the doorstep. Very quiet area, saw very little in the way of cars and not many people except for those walking their dogs in the morning or evening.
The heating seemed complicated to use and came on at all times of the day and night. So we left it along. No landing light as per booking details stated.

Great spot for walking, clean bedding and cosy decor.
Small space at dining table for chairs.

Perhaps a better solution can be found for the heating? I mean, it works, but it smells extremely like oil and combined with the banging noises in the radiators it's a bit disconcerting 😅
The house was clean and friendly. I wish someone could be found to look after the front garden too.

The decor was lovely in the cottage, the lounge was lovely.......................
The shower was appalling more like a dribble than a shower! I found the oven to be very difficult to master, couldn't find the cutlery until I managed to get hold hold of Sykes on the Monday who advised re the 'secret drawer!' this information could have easily been put into the house folders. The contact number for the owner/caretaker was not answered on the Sunday we arrived even after 2 attempts to call them. They finally responded at 10.20 the following Monday evening................................... The stairs are an accident waiting to happen, very steep and slippery. The upstairs floors whilst looking very trendy are noisy and cold and needs carpeting.

The location was lovely and the cottage was well equipped and beds were comfortable.
The downstairs carpet was very dirty, and it was awful to walk on. Because of this, we would not stop there again. I did complain to sykes cottages and booking.com but have heard nothing. The outside could do with paving relaying and cleaning.I

Good parking, modern kitchen and bathroom. Nice size rooms. Great location although the locals didn't know of it. The sign outside could do with being clearer. But a lovely place and definitely worth a visit.
Cream carpet in the living room is not great really, floor tiles maybe a better choice or a carpet with mixed pattern. Boiler wasn't easy to fathom out, it was on most of the time despite following the instructions to turn it down.

Lovely clean cottage with fresh white ironed linen and towels. Comfortable bed and sofa. A nice quiet location with lovely walks nearby. Good Wi-Fi.
As there was only the 2 of us and only used one bed a small party reduction for out of peak season might pay off. With a large 4 x 4 the parking space is a bit tight to use but we managed fine.

The cottage was perfect for our short weekend break and had good facilities to cook in, plenty of cooking equipment and utensils etc. A comfortable living room for cosy nights in with the log fire and comfortable rooms as well. Loved the mix of recent changes with some of the original features, very nicely done.
There were a couple of things we couldn’t find that were mentioned in the welcome book e.g. nightlight that would have been great for our young daughter but nothing major. Bathroom was a little dusty in areas. One of the lightbulbs had gone in the second (turquoise) bedroom - we didn’t have a pen or we would have left a short note, sorry!

Cosy cottage on the outskirts of Hawes. Lovely and peaceful with access to some amazing walks. Cottage is well equipped and was a perfect getaway for our half term break. Dishwasher, washing machine and small drying room were great to have after some wet and muddy walks. Heating kept us nice and warm although there is also a real fire for those want it. Parking for one car is also a bonus as the village does get very busy and parking is at a premium.
Being really picky, the radiator in the kitchen didn’t work very well which meant that meal times were kept to a minimum.

The scenery was outstanding, the cottage covered all our needs and was beautiful.
Nothing really, only slight issue was for me with a big Suv the parking was a challenge although one of the neighbours aloud me to turn round in their drive which made it easier for me. But this is nothing against this beautiful place I put it down to me having a very large car.
