Three en-suite bedrooms - two of them on the ground floor - and an enclosed garden bordered by the Pennine Way are among the many fabulous features of this handsome holiday home. Super pet friendly and little more than a mile from Hawes, it''s a great base for a Dales break.
This former schoolhouse is full of character and space, its heritage features including high ceilings and mullion windows complemented by a multitude of contemporary must-haves. Step into the large hallway and there''s ample space to deposit outdoor gear and dry muddy paws - up to four pets are welcome here! Head through to the cosy lounge, where an original ornamental fireplace and choice of seating suggest companionable evenings with the Smart TV for home-style entertainment. The stylish kitchen/diner has everything required to cook delicious meals; you''ll linger around the large farmhouse table long after the dishwasher has been loaded. When it''s time to say goodnight, the ground floor has two super-king-size bedrooms, each with stunning views over the garden and Dales beyond. Upstairs, there''s another spacious super-king-size bedroom - for ultra-flexibility and comfort, all three bedrooms have zip-and-link beds that can be made up as twins on request, plus their own en-suite shower rooms. A beautiful lawned garden to the rear of the property has a patio area with dining table and chairs - the perfect place to fire up the BBQ while drinking in the countryside views. To the front of the house, a small patio area is ideal for catching the morning sun.
In the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, Hardraw is a charming village best known as the location of Hardraw Force, England''s highest single-drop waterfall - it''s set within the grounds of the historic inn less than 100 metres from your doorstep. If you fancy a longer walk, follow the Pennine Way to Hawes (1.5 miles), one of England''s highest towns and home of the world-famous Wensleydale Cheese. Alternatively, enjoy a day at Bolton Castle (12 miles), a medieval fortress offering stunning views and engaging tours, visit the mesmerising Aysgarth Falls (10 miles), or drive the dramatic Buttertubs Pass to Thwaite (6 miles).
