About this farm stay rental
Escape away from normal life to farm country where you have your own peaceful space and stay in our cozy Designed with large family gatherings in mind. Part of this home dates back to 1884, showcasing transom windows, original hardwood floors, and a charming brick fireplace. Thoughtfully designed for large family gatherings, the property offers six bedrooms plus a guest cottage featuring a seventh bedroom, living room, kitchenette, and half bath—previously used as a summer kitchen. The spacious main level includes two ensuite bedrooms and two additional king rooms, one equipped with a crib. If needed, one king room can be converted into three twin beds. Upstairs, two oversized bedrooms offer flexible accommodations: one has a king and two twins; the other boasts a queen, two twins, and another crib.
A generous kitchen provides plenty of space for your group to cook, socialize, and enjoy each other's company. The gourmet kitchen is outfitted with an under-counter beverage station and ice maker, an eight-burner gas stove, a five-burner electric range, and two refrigerators. The home’s location overlooks a picturesque pond and sits close to animal barns and the chicken coop, where you can gather fresh eggs. Outdoors, relax on the shaded rear porch or the expansive front porch overlooking beautiful pastures. One friendly goat, Waylon, is known to open doors and may even join you for breakfast. The front porch presents stunning views, while the rear entrance is just one step up, making it easily accessible for elderly guests.
Staying at Donkeytown also gives you a beautiful 40 acres to explore with hiking, picnics, and fishing in our two fully stocked ponds. Bring your fishing poles or just enjoy sitting on the pier while drinking a cup of coffee or watching the sunset.
We are proud to be a breeder of Mediterranean Miniature Donkeys touted as the "most lovable animals on the planet." You can have as much or as little interaction with them as you desire. Feel free to hang out in barns and pastures with them and each day we close the gates and let a few free range on the farm. They'll be glad to hang out with you, are very social and want lots of hugs and kisses. You'll be able to say you "kissed ass at Donkeytown" when you leave. In addition, we have four free range goats, Willie, Waylon, Johnny, and June, plus two lambs, Pancho and Lefty, that will greet you daily!

Everyone had a super time! Make sure you wear good solid shoes sometimes the animals get excited and step on your feet ouch... My 3 year old granddaughter got knocked down a couple times but she was tuff. It was a great experience and the kids loved collecting eggs and cooking them.

Tonya was so friendly and engaging; she gave the kids a tour and the animals were great with the kids. The variety of things to do can’t be beat. The house is spacious with many options for sleeping. The kitchen and the fire pit were the main gathering places… we’re grateful to have had this time spent with friends! Thank you!
