Meadow Cottage

Pretty flint and cobblestone cottage in peaceful dead-end lane - near to lots of historic houses and interesting coast and beaches. Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water for bath and shower, and big fluffy towels for the heated towel-rails. Great to have a parking-space opposite, plus space at the side for a smaller car. Sofas you could sink into and a lovely reading area on upstairs landing, with armchair and a window looking over field and wood.

Just a few niggles - impractical (fragile) glassware, lack of plastic beakers, table/serving spoons and small containers/pudding basins for leftovers or nuts, and a drainer for washing-up! And no footstool for those of us who like to put our feet up! Curtains in front (east-facing) bedroom too light - ok if you want to wake at 5am! Luckily I had a dark blanket which was hung up and did the trick! Steep stairs might prove tricky for the less able-bodied, especially coming down. And watch the door frames, if you’re over 6ft!
