All was really good, however 9 out of 10 because one sofa bed was well-used for some good time
Just that one sofa bed

Open Sicily Quattro Apartments are a great place to stay. Right in the centre of beautiful Palermo where everything is virtually on your doorstep. Supermarkets, cafes and restaurants all close by and the building is just off the main street where you can walk with ease to all the major historical attractions. The apartment was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable and staff were very helpful.
Nothing, it's great as it is

Location was perfect and it was quiet. Walkable from the centrale train/bus station. It took 1 hr on the airport shuttle bus for 6€ each. Easy to locate and great commutation with host. Up 1 flight of stairs. Spacious with comfy bed and pillows, good AC, small bathroom but fine for 1 at a time. Nice balcony to sit and also dry clothes on rack provided. It’s so close to lots of sites, great cafes and restaurants. Also to the markets and the waterfront. We just loved Palermo and could have stayed much longer than 4 nights.
There were a few little things but I let the host know directly. Overall you’re on holiday in someone’s place so be understanding.

• The fridge is not extremely small, so you can store a decent amount of groceries. • The kitchen has everything necessary. • The apartment actually looks very nice and is well decorated. • There is an excellent gelato place nearby called Belli Freschi Gelati. • The host is polite in communication and responds relatively quickly to questions. I was actually very satisfied until the issue with the city tax happened.
• The host tried to charge a city tax of €4 per day for the entire 7-night stay for two people, which came to €56. However, on Booking.com the city tax amount shown was €32. According to Sicilian law, the tax is indeed €4, but it is charged for a maximum of 4 nights — any additional nights should not be charged. I will also attach a screenshot of the message he sent me. • The entrance door is opened with a code, which is the same code used to access the apartment complex gate, which is fine. The problem is that there is NO way to lock the apartment from the inside, meaning anyone with the tag or code can enter. That honestly terrified me. The only thing you can lock is a regular partition door between the kitchen and bedroom area with a simple key. • There is absolutely no sound insulation between the bathroom and the room — you can literally hear everything. Also, the sleeping area is on a loft made of wooden boards without insulation, while the bathroom is directly underneath, so all the humidity and smells from showering rise up. Even the openings are not insulated. There was a very strong smell of mold and dampness, and it was unpleasant to sleep in that smell. The loft cannot really air out even when the balcony doors are open. This was honestly the biggest issue. The constant smell of mold and humidity in the bed area was unbearable. I honestly don’t know why I didn’t complain and change rooms sooner — it only crossed my mind on the last night, after I spent the whole night in the living area because the smell was giving me a headache. • The air conditioner in the living room clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. I turned it on briefly to warm up the room, and the smell of mold, dampness, and dust filled the apartment. It became impossible to sleep. I’m attaching a photo. • Cleanliness was mediocre — at first glance it looked tidy, but somehow still felt dirty. The couch smells damp, so your clothes absorb the smell while sitting on it.
