About this apartment rental
Work away from home or hop on the road to any of Metro-Denver's great natural attractions in this centrally located, fully furnished and nicely appointed basement apartment in a quiet neighborhood.
Guest access:
You will have your own separate entrance to the apartment. You will enter through the garage. The pin code for the garage opener will be provided to you in advance of check in. You will enter the interior door from the garage into the main house. From there the laundry room will be to your left and the stairs down to the apartment will be directly in front of you. Doors to the rest of the upper level will be locked so you don't have to worry about going somewhere you shouldn't. Please be aware that the host lives in the upstairs floor of the home. They are quiet and honor guests' desire for privacy at all times.
Other things to note:
1) The large back yard was recently fully fenced in for pet security. It's a perfect spot for you to walk your four-legged friend. I only ask that you pick up after them.
2) Although the kitchen does not include a built-in range or oven, there is a microwave with a convection oven feature and two induction hot plates that can be used on the countertops for cooking. Otherwise, the kitchen has all of the usual features: refrigerator, sink with disposal, dishwasher, utensils, cookware, etc.

Everything was great! The large fenced yard was like a private dog park for our two pups. They chased squirrels all day and were worn out by nightfall. It’s close to Red Rocks which is why we were there. Super clean, super efficiently organized with everything we needed- dog bowls too! Would stay again and again.

Jason was awesome, very accommodating and friendly...check in and check out was a breeze.Pros outweighed the cons, here was our experience:PROS: Spacious and comfortable seating, separate work area, nice and well stocked kitchen with full refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and small toaster oven, very large fenced in backyard with nice seating areas, pet friendly (had 2 dogs that enjoyed the property...yet, ZERO pet smells or evidence that any other pets have been there...even the dogs didn't seem to "overly" sniff), dual head shower, full sized laundry, separate and secured private access, owner allowed us to park in the garage, safe and quite neighborhood.CONS (for us): Basement apartment that had about a dozen steep stairs that family was not able to accommodate (luckily the weather was great so we gathered in the backyard), the owner lives in the house and we could hear him (his bedroom was above our bedroom), it was NOT a 2 bedroom (second bed was a pull out couch...but teenager chose to sleep on comfy main couch), the ONLY bathroom was very small and in the main bedroom (so others had to enter the bedroom to use the bathroom), very little space in bathroom for getting ready, no hanging locations in the bedroom (there was one small closet at the other end of the unit), and finally, we found the bed to be rather uncomfortable, but we realize that mattresses are so subjective (not the owners fault).All in all, it was a nice, clean place, with an excellent host!

Jason is an amazing host. He was very quick to respond to messages and is very knowledgeable about the area/provided great recommendations for dinners and activities. The basement apartment was clean, comfortable, and in great condition. Having the option to park in the garage was much appreciated! The back yard/deck area is huge and very well-kept. Only potential downside is that the bathroom is in the bedroom - we managed just fine but could be a (very) minor inconvenience for a larger group. Old Town Arvada is less than 5 minutes from the house, and the proximity to downtown Denver was perfect. Can’t recommend this stay and host enough!
