About this villa rental
Keronia Villa is a beautiful house, located in the traditional Gavalochori Village, just 3.5km away from the sandy and organized beach of Almirida. Gavalochori is a village with historical importance and interesting samples of vernacular architecture. The old houses of the village are renovated with respect to their original form and the new ones are built based on the local architecture and character. Keronia Villa is one of the new houses and combines Cretan tradition and modern comfort.
The villa is built on a 1000sq.m. private property, 250m away from the centre of the village, in a peaceful area. The biggest part of the garden is covered with grass. Around the large private pool there are sunbeds for relaxing moments under the hot Cretan sun, while parasols and a bamboo pergola offer shady areas for those who need a cool break from sunbathing...
The house consists of four levels. The entrance door is on the third level. It opens to a sunlit, beautifully decorated lounge/dining area with white vaulted ceiling. On the same level there are the open plan kitchen and a wc. Few steps lead on the forth level, which comprises of two bedrooms - one double and one twin - both with en-suite bathrooms and private balconies. Two more bedrooms are found on the second floor - one double and one twin - both with direct access to the garden. A bathroom completes this level. The fifth bedroom - a twin one - is on the first level, next to a big area where the ping-pong table and a football table are found.

This is a fabulous property on the outskirts of a gorgeous village. The town square has two lovely restaurants, one rather gourmet and the other, the perfect local taverna. The food in both is terrific. Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended for a restful stay in an elegant, well appointed property. I would love to come back here.

My family and I stayed for one week in the Villa in July 2018. For our needs,it was perfect. Walkingdistance to Tavern Monica in the evening when we wantet to eat dinner without having to drive, and a small lokal store for basics needs. We rented a car for the week, wich Is a very good idea since it is 3,5 km down to the beach. Beside the beach,it was some very good restaurants. Having a swimmingpool in our garden was great, beeing able to cool down for whenever we wanted. One evening we had a family barbeque in the garden wich was lovely and every morning we enjoyd a nice breakfast together outside on the patio. As the soccer WorldCup were on, those who wanted to watch could do so,when the rest of us still could talk outside on the patio without disturbing. Aircon in all bedroom, exept in the basement. Even thougt the basement was much cooler, for some of us this still became a little problem since it was very warm outside at night. However, it was easy to fall a sleep since it was a quiet neigbourhood. It was enought bathrooms for everyone, which all of us enjoyed. The pingpongtable in the basement made great fun! In the middel of the week,some very nice women came to clean, change the bedsheets and give us new towels. The caretaker was very friendly ,giving us nice tips on what to see and where to go. All questions where answeard very quickly. All in all, our stay in the Villa was fantastic and I can really recommend it further on! Best regards Hanne & Family
