This cottage exceeded our expectations! It fit my family (4 adults and 2 kids) perfectly. It’s beautiful and spacious, exactly as it was listed. The neighborhood is so pretty and quiet. The walk to the beach was about 5 minutes, and to have your own private pavilion was great. The beach was less crowded than staying in Destin, but still just as beautiful! There’s a Dollar General right next to the neighborhood so we were able to get a lot of our stuff there, but there are lots of places within a short drive. The pavilion sells ice so that was nice, as well as having restrooms. The little backyard area was so nice to sit in and drink coffee. There’s an entrance off of 98, and also onto Scenic Gulf Dr., so easy to get in and out. Our family made so many memories!

Love the house and the gated community. We have stayed in the gated community before. 💕Great place for family to relax and feel safe. Home away from home. Destin is beautiful, it’s one of our family favorite vacationing destinations. Beautiful weather.

This was our first time taking our kids ages 10 and under to the beach. It was a great experience. The house was clean and very spacious and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and my kids liked the big bath tub. The beds are a bit high off the ground and no carpet underneath, so I was happy there was a pullout couch for the little ones so I didn't worry about them falling off the beds. The storage box on the back porch had some sand toys, beach chairs and a beach umbrella. The private beach also had chairs and an umbrella to rent, so we ended up doing that for convenience sake and so that we could sit near the water. It was $45 per day. The rental company asked if you brought your own chairs and umbrella, that you set them up behind theirs. There was also a snack bar selling sno-cones, so make sure to bring your wallet/credit card to the beach (we didn't and had to go back). The beach was about a 5 minute walk from the house. We brought our own wagon for toting things to and from the beach, but I think some people rented wagons down there. We would definitely stay here again. There were a couple of pools on the property, as well. It was a great place to have a family beach trip! The beach was beautiful with powdery sand.
