Stompy's Hut

Totally charming!

Quirky hut and facilities. Beautiful location in a real nature setting. Lots of outside space to roam and play and for your dog. Beautiful views and lovely walks around. Pubs in the village and all around. John the owner is a great guy and lovely to talk to and find out whatever you need to know.

Nothing to dislike for me!

Exceptional stay! Phones off, log burner on and absolute bliss. John is a mastermind with what he’s created here. The perfect place to come and escape with an amazing energy. Can’t wait to go back.

Nothing, superb.

We had a fantastic three nights in Stompy’s Hut. The shepherd’s hut has everything you need and is comfortable. Somehow we managed to even fit our greyhound in with us! All of the facilities around the hut are fab - the toilet hut is just a few steps away and the enclosed outdoor shower was lovely. The fire pit was great in the evening and we loved sitting together, enjoying the fire, the peace and quiet, the bats and some star gazing. The site is really lovely - you can see the other guys / buildings but they are in the distance and and angled so that you have excellent privacy. Lots of fantastic birds, wildlife in and around the ponds and stunning views from the hut - as well as lovely views from the loo and the shower! The host, John, was very friendly and helpful -congratulations John on such a lovely site.
