Amazing location for exploring Normandy

This is the perfect home from home - a base ready to explore Normandy. Its location is superb - with a view of the church from the car park and you’re in the village centre in one minute if that!

I like everything - the only issue was loud guests in the room above but that cannot be helped. The bed is a bit creaky but comfortable.

Great location close to the village centre. Secure of road parking for the motorbike. Friendly staff provided a warm welcome.

No curtains in the bedroom so it was quite bright. No hand soap in the bathroom. Quite a lot of noise from the unit above... you could hear every footstep and conversation.

Location is on the central square in St Mere Eglise, pretty nice. There is on site parking. This is a great place to stay the nmight if you are getting a ferry out of Cherbourg.

Location, good size apartment, private, comfortable beds.

Owners have no english (english spoken photo on booking.com?) so I was using my school french & they were using a translator app which didn't always work. Considering this town/area gets alot of American & English tourists I was very surprised at this. On arrival the first thing I was asked was to pay the tourist tax, I feel I was overcharged on this as they had us down as 4 adults even though I explained it was 2 adults & 2 children. Car had to be parked on road the 2nd day as the underneath kept getting stuck on the gate 'ground catch' and is now damaged. Sink had no draining board so nowhere to leave dishes before drying. Water dangerously hot, there is a notice up in the bathroom but if someone is having a shower you cannot touch tap in kitchen. Check out 10.30am on booking.com but notice on wall in apt said 9.30am so explained this to owner & agreed on 10.30am check out.

Beautiful Gite

The Gite was lovely, had everything you needed. Location excellent.

The Bed frame was very squeaky when turning over all night and the frame was very high and difficult to get off.

Very disappointed overall!

Convenient to visit nearby places of interest.

Lots of new rules seem to apply and our host was not pleased and very rude! Arrival and day 1 was fine and we had a simple small accommodation in a small studio. Moving on to day 2 leaving time of 9.30 am seems very early and I had an unexpected work meeting I needed to link up for. I asked for more time the host did not allow me to stay in the accommodation and was furious when I had not removed the rubbish or washed the breakfast dishes. Note we paid €50 for cleaning! all very disappointing and downright unpleasant! I hope a better welcome for future guests! I will not be back.

Very nice area especially for motorcyclists. The airborne museum is well worth a look a credit to the town.

No coffee tea supplied, when we arrived everything thing on the square was closed, could not get any supplies . (We came on motorcycles. ) Great private parking. However trying to find the property was a joke, going by the directions given from the information given by booking.com. The property is located the street BEHIND, the phamacey pictured in the directions given . The BnB next to the pharmacy is also No15. Other patrons should be aware of this.

Le gîte était très propre et lumineux et nous avions un parking à disposition, ce qui était très appréciable. Nous sommes arrivés avec la pluie et nous sommes rentrés dans le gîte où la chaleur nous a réchauffés. La situation du gîte amenait un point positif pour la proximité du Airborne Muséum où mon Petit Fils était en stage.

Hotel met eigen parkeerplaats "downtown" Sainte-Mère-Église

Parkeren op eigen terrein van hotel (niet aan plein-kant, maar aan de "andere" kant). De voor-hotel-ingang ligt aan het plein met de kerk. Er zijn een paar restaurantjes en barretjes in de buurt. 's avonds was Brasserie Chez Jeanne open en die was prima (volgens mij is er 's avonds ook veel dicht).

Het was allemaal niet spik-splinternieuw maar het was wel functioneel en schoon.

Moyennement propre (poubelle SDB non vidée, réceptacle de douche pas très propre, bouches d’aération très sales, il y a très peu de chaînes de télévision. Et le plus important l’appartement STUDIO est extrêmement bruyant quand l’appartement du dessus est occupé, vous entendez tout et surtout les occupants marcher, à déconseiller pour les personnes voulant se reposer.

vicino a Utah Beach

posizione ottima, proprio accanto alla chiesa del paese, famosa per il paracadutista rimasto impigliato al campanile durante lo sbarco in Normandia. Parcheggio in cortile interno proprio sotto la camera. Buona anche la dotazione di cucina; ci mancava il cavatappi, ma l'host, gentilissimo, ce lo ha procurato.

essendoci un solo bagno, risulta accanto a una delle camere e piuttosto distante dall'altra; ma è solo un piccolo neo. Attenzione se vi danno fastidio le campane; alle 7 hanno iniziato a suonare e hanno continuato per un bel po' :-)

Stanza centralissima

La sua posizione è ottima, ma poteva essere curata un po' meglio. Sarebbe stato un valore aggiunto con il bollitore lasciare due bustine di thè e dello zucchero. La padella non era pulita, la doccia perdeva acqua e la struttura odorava di chiuso. Il suo prezzo e la sua posizione sono ottime.
