This is just the place for people looking to get away and experience country style living. Beautiful home and artwork throughout kept my teenagers busy and off their phones! Such a lovely spot thank you to the friendly host.

Our stay at Farm to Folklore was a mixed bag. The home is lovely and the artwork and themes of the rooms were super fun and creative on many levels. The temps while we were there (and visiting the amusement park about 20 minutes away called Indiana Beach) were extreme, high 90's with a heat index over 105! The two window AC units (one on the upper floor in one bedroom, one on the lower floor in one bedroom) didn't keep the house very cool. We made it through though! We were told that there was a spring fed pond on the property, but the only water there, was covered in green algae and was not fresh whatsoever. The horses on the property were quite sweet, and every now and then we were able to pet one of the cats that lounged around. The grounds were quite overgrown but still had many trails to explore. I was hoping to have a washer/dryer there, but that wasn't the case. The only other thing missing from our stay would be a microwave. We enjoy reheating food for lunch etc and weren't able to do that. Not the end of the world, but it was something that we missed. We did have an issue with a fallen tree branch on a vehicle, but we are hopeful that we'll be able to remedy that with the owners. Even with the differences from what I'm used to getting from a VRBO rental, I would still say a stay at Farm to Folklore is worth it, just manage your expectations, and come understanding what you're getting...and then I have a feeling the house and its artistry will be worth it.

This well preserved and adorable home was a truly peaceful nook in the country! Sooooo much character and attention to detail to create a unique space within the house and on the farm. Simplicity and folklore live here!!

This is no cookie cutter VRBO! A comfortable — not posh — restored farmhouse where every room has its own “vibe.” A perfect getaway location to unplug and unwind. And while there are a few “attractions” and restaurants within a 30 minute drive, you’re booking this house to just relax and be with family. Additionally, there are miles of trails through woods and fields. Ideal for birding! We didn’t realize when we booked that this is a working farm, and the owners live onsite (but in separate dwellings, not in the rental). So there was quick response for any last minute questions, and we had a few nice conversations with the owners when we “bumped” into them on our hikes around the property. While we didn’t take advantage of the offers, we understand that you can also request some “farm” experiences from the owners (horses grooming, etc.). I grew up on a farm, so I was good with not adding those experiences to our weekend. But someone from an urban environment might enjoy tweaking the experience with some “farming “ stuff. The only caution I would add is the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are a bit steep and might be a concern with people who have very small children or mobility issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our family weekend away at this very unique property

This house and property was an amazing experience we will never forget. The imaginative and whimsical decorations in this farmhouse are so creative. If you are a lover of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or Dungeons and Dragons, this is the place for you. It was a truly special experience. The farmhouse also sits on many forested acres filled with hiking trails and other surprises. Several horses, chickens, geese and ducks also are kept here. This place was so much fun!

We needed a place for 4-6 of us to stay for an event in Delphi at the Opera House. All the B&B's in town were taken, so we opted for the Farm to Folklore! Lovely spot, enjoyed the land and animals. The kitchen was the only area we could have used a bit more conveniences. Coffeemaker and microwave for a larger group would have been welcome. Loved all the books; I'm a retired librarian, LOL! Summer will be glorious here...
