Physically violent and threatening staff. Good locafion.

The beds were comfortable and it was close to the louvre and restaurants.

The manager of the property threatened to assault me and physically pushed and intimidated my elderly mother in law who was travelling with us. This was because we were one hour late to check out which was our fault (we had a hell morning with our newborn baby being sick and my father in law falling down the stairs) and unfortunately were just running behind which I tried to explain to the manager on the phone while I was out trying to find a doctor for our baby. The manager screamed at me on the phone we needed to get out (this is at 11.15am) mind you they make check in at 4pm one of the latest check ins you will find. The manager then came to the apartment and threatened my mother in law, when she said they were hurrying as fast as they could he pushed her waved his finger in her face and told her if we weren’t out within 10 minutes he would come back forcibly remove us. By the time I got back my two elder in laws (in their 70’s) and my wife and baby were sitting out front all distraught. The cleaner who was there and worked with the manager told my family they are disgusting. Overall a pretty shocking experience, one I’ve never ever had on booking.com and I hope never to have again. The place is fine, average but great location. The lights don’t work in the upstairs bathroom and are bad in general in the apartment. The manager is something I’ve never experience before ever in an accomodation.

Great location but would not stay again

The definitive positive is the location of the flat - its great. Its very central, across the street from parks and the Louvre, with a great cafe next door and lots of opportunities to buy necessities if you travel as a family. When we were cold at the property, we messaged the hosts and they promptly turned the heating up remotely.

I found the pictures do not reflect the reality of the apartment, in the photos it looks quite high end, however in reality - quite some of it is in disrepair, fittings are coming off and it seems not very well maintained - for parents, there is a crack on the downstairs bedroom coffee table which is made out of glass - not safe for toddlers or children in general. Secondly the quality of cleanliness was quite poor, especially the bathrooms, we avoided using the downstairs bathroom entirely, it seemed that it has not been cleaned in a while with debris on the tiles. The flat throughout was obviously not dusted in a while. We've messaged the hosts about this but haven't received any reply. The kitchen is ok, but the lights keep going off automatically, so mid way through cooking you need to keep turning them back on. And if you want to cook you need to bring your own knife, there are also no dishwasher tablets so you should bring your own. The apartment is generally quite dark, but this is due to its courtyard settings and down to personal preference, but if you are looking for a light flooded property its quite dark and dimly lit.

Enjoyed the stay but hesitant to recommend

It’s located in the Opera district, 1st Arrondissement, so this is heart of Paris. You cannot ask for a better location. It’s a private apartment. 10 minutes to the Louvre, Tulieres by foot. Same distance to trains. Many restaurants within walking distance. Convenient for walk to breakfast. Small grocery stores 5 mins walk. Go to Carefour express. 205 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris, France Avoid Opera Market. 29 Rue des Petits Champs, 75001 Paris, France for groceries. See multiple reviews of this place rips off foreigners. Very spacious for Paris. Safe. Good privacy. Clean. Has a refrigerator and washer. Look at YouTube fkr instructions because for non-European visitors it’s different than the American washer.

So I have to out this in context. Space is a premium in Paris especially in this apartment location. My understanding is average apartments are very small and tight by American standards. Even hotels are small compared to Days Inn and Super 8 in the US. So this apartment by Parisian standards is huge! That is a good thing. At the same time the physical layout is a bit awkward. The design is dated.Lighting is poor. The lighting issue has been mentioned in previous reviews. The windows, even with all shades and shutters opened does not provide adequate lighting. He electrical lighting is also quite dim. With all the lights and lamps turned out it looks like a dimly lit restaurant that is lit for a romantic dinner only more dim. My impression is the landlord is trying to save on electricity with the lighting. Ventilation is not that good. There is no air conditioning so in the summer this place must be hot. We found it a bit warm in April 2025! We had to open the downstairs bedroom windows and the front door entrance for adequate ventilation. The downstairs shower is awkward. This was difficult to enter because of high stair step case that one uses to get into the shower. If you have any disabilities or are elderly this would be dangerous. I consider myself athletic, and I felt it was a bit precarious and slippery We ended up using the upstairs shower because it was more user friendly. Value of the apartment is questionable. We paid $1200-$1300/night for 6 nights. If I had to do this again I would try to do more research for another place if possible. But as I said before rhe location was superb.

Brilliant Location. Pleasant Stay.

Quaint apartment in an excellent location, yet still very peaceful and quiet. A short walk from many attractions, supermarkets, even a laundromat nearby. Rooms are very well sized.

Upon arrival, the apartment had a sweaty, musty smell. The carpets don't help as they seem to need an upgrade. It was not as clean as I expected. Pictures are a little deceiving as to the quality. Not enough lighting in the apartment. Bathrooms were uncomfortable. Definitely not great for elderly.

Very comfortable, great beds, well equipped kitchen. Excellent location, very central, next to the Louvre and walking distance from a lot of the city’s monuments and yet the property was extremely quite.

Highly recommended!

The location is unbeatable - right in the heart of Paris, walking distance to Tuileries Garden, Louvre, Paris Opera house, Galleries Lafayette and the shopping belt along Rue Saint Honore! Metro is few minutes walk away. Quiet and safe at night. Bedrooms were huge and beds were comfortable. Under-floor heating was a big plus. Manager was incredibly responsive and overall experience was great.

Fantastic accommodation in perfect location in the upmarket Louvre area of Paris.

This is a beautiful and immaculately clean apartment perfectly located a few minutes from the Jardin du Tuileries and the Louvre. We felt an instant feeling of calm every time we entered the apartment that has been impressively designed to maximise space. It is extremely peaceful - an oasis of calm beyond the vibrant city life just on the doorstep. The location is perfect for exploring all that Paris has to offer. Many cafe's, restaurants and small supermarkets close by as well as numerous designer clothes shops. The bedrooms are huge and the beds are very comfortable and large. This combined with the tranquility of the setting made for an extremely peaceful and good night's sleep. After busy days exploring Paris we were always happy to return to Pied A Terre. There are 2 bathrooms and there was always plenty of hot water for us all (2 adults and 3 teenage boys). A very nice sitting area on the ground floor was used as a communal space where we chatted and played cards one evening. Our hosts were very helpful and responded to any requests immediately. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and would happily return to stay in it again.

We are a family of 4 with 2 kids and decided to explore Paris for the first time during kids' spring break. We looked for a bit more space than other typical small hotel rooms with a phenomenal location for shopping, museums, and awesome restaurants as well as a laundry machine as we were staying for a full week and didn't want to bring too many clothes. If you are in a similar situation as me, do not look further and just go ahead and book this place! You can't beat the location and rooms were clean and spacious. Hot shower pressure and temperature were all very satisfying during cold weather and I was super appreciative that I could drop off my shopping bags while I was exploring Saint Honore stores. Andrea was very responsive to any questions and super helpful. One thing to note - you are supposed to deposit EUR 1,500 via Swikly which cost me EUR 32 for the service. Didn't bother me much though.

Pretty hidden spot in a great location

The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The beds were also comfy (although the pillows were too huge for my preference). The host was helpful with check in and check out information. The courtyard is lovely and the location is great. There is no AC but even during extremely hot 35 degree days we managed by leaving the windows open and using the fans provided.

The lighting. While interesting and attractive there was no place where it was bright enough to put on makeup etc. The upstairs black tile bathroom has a raised shower floor with no door or curtain so water spills out no matter how careful you are resulting in a slippery floor. (The host has said this will be fixed shortly though).
