Location was fantastic to do the walks around Rydal and Grasmere, host was very accommodating, food was lovely and the room was clean and comfortable.
The parking wasn't ideal on arriving as the hotel parking was being used by non guests. Although the room was clean they were a bit tired looking.

Iain looked after his guests really well and his breakfast was amazing! The hotel is comfortable and is in a fantastic location for local walks and attractions.

Excellent location for our trip as only 2 miles from Grasmere. The room was an adequate size for a short trip, the bed was comfy enough and the water temperature and pressure was great. The breakfast was very good and the car parking was ideal. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The windows block out about as much sound as a paper bag would, so you get a lot of road noise. Some of the locations of things in the room were peculiar like the coat hooks over the bedside table would have been more appropriate near the door. The place needs a vacuum cleaner running round it, and just generally in need of some TLC.
