Great little bolthole close to the Severn

Friendly and knowledgeable host, well-equipped kitchen, private sitting out area, comfy bed. Within a short walk to river and town centre.

Everything was great. We would be happy to stay there again.

Pleasant area, friendly host, clean, comfortable and good value.

Great place to stay - nice area, walking distance to Shrewsbury centre and friendly host. The pod is small but somehow feels more than enough - two rooms, everything worked and very clean/comfortable. If we were to pass that way again, would definitely repeat book.

Small but perfect

Small garden house, but it has everything you need for a short stay. Good selection of cooking utensils, much better than other places we have been. The location was excellent for walking or cycling into Shrewsbury and further. Lovely friendly hosts and we would definitely stay again to explore the wider area.

Very pleasant property

Clean, and well thought out layout. Attractively decorated.

Even using the extractor fan there was a slightly unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Maybe because there had been such hot weather?

Great value accommodation to explore Shrewsbury

The Garden Room is an excellent base from which to explore Shrewsbury for a weekend. As the description says, it is indeed a room in a garden, but it is very comfortably fitted out and the use of space is very efficiently optimised. It works well for a weekend, but for longer stays it might feel a bit cramped after a while. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The place is clean, the bed is comfortable, and the small kitchenette gives you just what you need to sort out your own breakfasts and small meals.There is even a little sheltered 'garden within the garden' at the back of the room. (which would be even better with a table, because in good weather it's great to sit outside!) It is a bit of a walk from here into Shrewsbury, but eminently doable, and if you don't want to do that, there are decent pubs within walking distance. It is very good value for money.

I would def stay again and bring a sleep eye mask

It was a beautiful clean space and attention had been paid to the smallest detail .

This is a personal preference but I would have liked proper blackout curtains in the sleeping area , it was too bright for me and I can’t sleep properly unless it’s really dark , but that’s just me.

A little piece of heaven

The privacy was amazing, the use of space was genius, it has everything you need and more with special little touches by the owners, who were lovely people.

Lovely comfortable stay with everything I needed.

The property was amazing - everything I needed was there. It's a smallish space but perfectly designed to fit everything in without feeling crowded or cluttered. There are some amazing space saving ideas which I will be using! Loved the fold up table and chairs. Bed was so comfortable and the duvet cover was super luxurious. Location is great. Price is just right. Only saw hosts on two occasions but that was largely because I was out all day until late - they seemed really nice and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent little hideaway

The Garden house is a superb little bolthole for a couple. It's around a 20 minute pleasant walk from Shrewsbury centre. The facilities were great, free WiFi, a smart TV (not that we used it) a functional kitchenette, lovely bathroom and bedroom area. They've used the space really well. There's an enclosed garden area which we didn't use but looked like it would be super in summer time. Dawn and Mike were excellent hosts, very good at communicating and helped me organise an additional surprise for my hubby's birthday. Off road parking facility was also excellent. (Also highly recommend bird and beer if you like a messy but delicious dinner!)

Can't fault anything, we look forward to going back.

Great location (10/10 when mattress sorted)

1. Location was great, walkable to two great pubs and also town centre 2. Parking was great 3. Cleverly thought out, location of summerhouse felt very separate from the house 4. Living area compact but works 5. Window Blinds’s are great 7. Hive heating/heated towel rail, felt warm even when -6 8. Kitchen had everything, though we are out 9. Towels/bedding nice quality 10. Communication very good from host

Sadly, and maybe the hosts would not be aware unless they slept on the bed. The mattress is awful, worst mattress ever, sinks on both sides and needs replacing asap. Shame as everything else was spot on.

Was a very cold winter night, yet was still warm with the heating low.

Lay out was perfect for my needs, I was running late and phoned ahead, and arranged a new time for arrival. Was greeted on arrival and shown around and left me to it. The property was prefect size for me and felt like a home instead of a hotel which I spend 5 days a week in for my job. I knew the area of Shrewsbury so was easy to walk into town to the wonderful bars, pubs and restaurants and catch up with friends. If your looking for something different but comfortable and homely then I would recommend this beautiful garden house.

Was a little dusty and someone else hair in the shower, the shower stand I kept bumping into while washing, would recommend moving that under the shower unit.

The location was perfect for me. There was everything available that was needed in the accommodation. It was exceptionally clean and well looked after. Hosts were on hand should there have been any questions. A really good find!

Ideal little property for a short break

Quite small but exactly what we expected. Well appointed and well planned to make the most of the space. Absolutely fine for a short break. The outside space is a particularly nice feature. We liked the fact that we could explore Shrewsbury without using our car. Didn’t meet the host but communication and arrangements for keys were good.

Perfect little pad for a few days.

A great little place with everything we needed for a few days stay. Modern, bright and comfortable with good sized sleeping, lounge areas and bathroom: Well equipped and with a lovely little outside area. The owners have done a good job in the setup and have parking on the drive too.

Very Enjoyable.

Cosy little garden house. Pretty little patio outside. Lovely and quiet. Soap and shower gel supplied and lovely fluffy towels. Bus stop just a short walk for the bus into town if you don't fancy walking the 25 or so minutes. Nice pub nearby. Would certainly stay again.

Although we had a cooler for drinks, it wasn't really suitable for 'food' items if you wished to cook your own food. The patio area could have done with a sweep and the table wiped but not a big problem really. Due to the wet weather a door mat would have been a bonus.

Great property, location, and value for money!

What a wonderfully clean, comfy and cosy find just a 15-20 minute walk from the town centre. A quiet location not far from The Boat House Inn, so really handy for lovely riverside walks. A couple of other pubs in the area and a quirky little convenience store about 10 minutes walk away on Woodfield Road. Dawn and Mike have thought of everything for a great stay. We so enjoyed the studio and the private little courtyard and would definitely book again.
