Love, love, loved my stay here with my family.
My family and I (7 adults) spent a week here and loved it. With 5 bedrooms on two levels we had space to spread out. I loved the great big dining table for everyone to sit together. It had a cool spiral staircase to get up to the bedrooms too. A great outdoor area to use also if the weather is kind to you. The kitchen has everything you need if you’re self catering. The house is in a fantastic part of Bayeux. It’s on a street full of cafes and restaurants (even one directly below us) and shops. The street is shut to traffic during the day and there was no noise from the restaurants in the evening. A supermarket is a few doors down as well as the tourist info centre. My aging parents were arriving by ferry very early in the morning from the UK and they were allowed to check in a bit earlier which was a great help to them. There is no parking at the house which was not a problem as we parked a few streets away and just had a 5-10 minute walk there and back. Great area to stay in Normandy. Bayeux cathedral and commonwealth war cemetery within walking distace. Close to the central D Day beaches. Various Chateauxs and quaint villages all close by too. Mont saint Michel only 1.5 hours away. I would gladly stay here again.

The property was in a great area which made it easy to catch our tours and shop.
Too many stairs and the banister was very loose and the rail going up the stairs was pulled out of the wall.

We enjoyed our stay here but would consider a different place next time.
Perfect location on the main street, walking distance to most sites in Bayeux and many great restaurants and shopping. A lot of room for the price, perfect for a larger group. Great outdoor patio. Close to primary tour group pickup locations. Host was prompt and friendly before the visit and with key exchange.
No air conditioning. No dedicated parking. Coffee maker was broken and was not replaced during our visit despite notifying the host several times, much to the chagrin of my in-laws. The upstairs hallways were cramped with very low ceilings, not unusual in these older buildings, but just something to consider with young or old visitors.

Property was really nice, clean, comfortable and in a central location.
Description of the property was misleading - it DOES NOT have air conditioning. When we arrived and asked about it, we were told that there seemed to be a problem with the centralized air conditioning and that a technician would go and check it out and that they would provide 2 portable units meantime. After numerous follow-ups, 1 portable air conditioner was provided on day 3. When we checked the booking.com website again, a review dated July 2022 stated that the property only provided fans and there was no air conditioning. Property was above a restaurant so would get a bit noisy at night. It was also difficult to get in and out at times as there would be tables of the restaurant right by the front door.
