Great apartment close to Cologne

Clean and tidy apartment. Basic facilities but adequate for a 2 night stay. Handy parking at the rear. Close to the station to get into Cologne. Excellent communication and easy check-in. Would recommend this property.

Excellent choice if you want a central place to yourself in Düren

A cosy and clean apartment, within walking distance of the city centre and dozens of shops and restaurants. Check-in and check-out process are clearly and timely explained by the helpful owner

The apartment lays on a busy and rather noizy street. Since the bedrooms are at the back, this isn't too much of a bother.

We loved the location and its proximity to the city center and train station. The apartment is very clean, well furnished, and the owner communicates quickly with helpful information. We look forward to coming back next year.

Very decent for the money, would visit again, clean everything i needed and desired for my 16 night stay

-Clean -Good wifi (i had low latency in games) -Free parking -Super friendly owner who reacts quickly

-Parking, although it was free, there were some small issues, first of all, it is first comes first serve, and the spots are limited, around 5-6 cars (depends how the cars park), and you need to reverse to small alley and park next to wall and step out in to muddy ground, personally i don’t mind harder parking challenge, but sometimes some “idiot” can leave half car space and you don’t fit there anymore or there was a one time van parked with a small trailer, and they were literally blocking half of the parking spaces. other options for parking are non existent or not free.

Would not repeat

The location is good

I could tell that the apartment was not cleaned after the last visitor. Bed linen was full of hair, short hairs covered the pillows, the covers and the sheets which was disgusting, we arrived at 3am and had to spread out our own clothes and sleep on them because we were too disgusted. The bathroom ledge was dirty and had lots of hair, the dishwasher was full and unloaded after cleaning, some of the items loaded incorrectly full og water and soap and not cleaned properly, the fridge's door shelves were dirty, the floor was dirty and had dead flies lying around, there was one flying around when we first entered the apartment as well. The apartment is on the fourth floor with no lift, which was not mentioned in the description when i booked. I was there with my mom, and she has back problems, so it was a massive inconvenience. We couldn't find any free spots for parking on our second night and had to park on the street and walk back to the apartment after attending a wedding. I contacted the property and conveyed all the cleanliness issues immediately as soon as i arrived, they sent a cleaning lady the next morning to change the sheets and clean although she didnt have any cleaning supplies or equipment, she saw the sheets and appologised, changed the linen, new ones also had short hairs all over, she apologised and said it's the laundromat. The property offered to pay me back EUR 25 (the price of cleaning) for our inconvenience, but i refused. Not a good experience overall .

Short stay while visiting family. Spacious quiet apartment with everything you need to ensure a comfortable stay. Easy communication with host. Great parking behind the accommodation. Short walk to town centre and train station.

Spacious apartment, good location, parking nearby. Enough amenities for a short stay, heating, nice dining corner.

Pillows were not comfortable, cleaning standarts were average. Strong smell of cigarettes in the building although forbidden.

Nice flat but unfortunately not clean

Its very spacious, I liked to have breakfast on the little indoor balcony. I would certainly come back if the cleaning aspect would be resolved.

The floor was not clean. I noticed that lots of stuff was just brushed into corners instead of removing it. The floor under the table was full of coffee or juice stains. Guests are expected to wash the dishes at the end of their stay. Thats not a problem but the dish washer had no cleaning products onside. I am not sure if guests are expected to buy that. We arrived late in the evening and only stayed for one night. We could not buy anything anymore. We wanted to cook something but some of the pots and their lids were not washed and incredibly sticky despite of being in the drawer with all the washed items. The pots and pans had their best days far behind them. Full of scratches and deformed. No kitchen towel, only 3-4 spoons/forks which is not enough for 3 guests. Also the living room has no curtain and the sun is intense in the morning and shines right into your eyes when you sit on the sofa. We moved the sofa into the shadow and the amount of food we found below the sofa was just disgusting. There was also no shower gel or soap provided. Overall I feel that the cleaners are either not well instructed or they are not given enough time to check the flat that all is in order.

Exactly what we wanted, a small flat rather than a hotel. Good location walking distance to everything in duren.

Only downside was it was a little difficult to find at 23:30 in the dark but when we realised the swans on the wall to the rear it then made sense!

The location was really nice, close to the shopping mall and 10 mins from the train station. The apartment was well-cleaned and everything was really good.

The pillows at the house could have been a little more comfortable. Besides that everything was really nice and was pleasant.

Highly recommended

I liked the property so much since it is in the heart of the city, close the everything and especially to my place of work, it was some minutes walk which made our stay enjoyable. The property is clean, calm and big enough for the 3 of us ( 2 adults and a toddler). The most important for me was the friendly communication with the owner, he was so nice and could answer in some minutes after I contact him. I do highly recommend this place.

Ok stay, but a symptom of everything that is going wrong in the current housing market.

Overall nice place, clean and uncomplicated arrival.

There were threats of fines everywhere and passive aggressive instructions. Does not make you feel like at home at all. Furthermore, a stay for three was a one-bedroom apartment crammed up with single beds to fit as many people as possible. Overall, a cheaply refurbished building for optimised for profit and not made available for people that need housing.

Great stay for just a couple of days

Really good location. The first day everything was super clean. The kitchen is well equipped, it has everything you need to cook. The bathroom was big enough, Wi-Fi connection was decent, and the heaters were working properly to keep all the apartment warm during cold nights.

Not a lot of privacy due to the big windows with no curtains. Maybe an English language Netflix profile could be a better option for tourists. No cleaning service for long stays, even if you book additional nights.

Newly refurbished with good parking and solid facilities

Well refurbished, very clean, modern facilities and spacious place. Kitchen The kitchen equipment is solid, new and clean and properly equipped with a toaster, microwave and kettle (a bowl would be a great addition). The heating system works very well and quickly. The bathroom has a tiny sink but the shower works very well with good pressure and hot water. Thanks for providing some instant coffee and salt - excellent! Great parking, a few steps from the back entrance of the property.

Living room The table is so unstable, it was terrible to sit at - I was worried to place a hot cup of coffee on it. There are no blinds mounted in the living room so that those people entering the property from the back door and those that are smoking in front of that entrance look straight inside the living room, which is quite unpleasant. Bedroom The blankets and beds are too small (186cm body size) and the blankets are probably the cheapest available. The pillows are huge and given the short bed, the head is placed way to high up. The building has little to none noise insulation so that you hear the neighbours loudly - make sure to bring ear plugs!

Convenient location just next to the city centre. 7-8 minute walking distance to Düren HBF. The apartment itself is clean and spacious, with necessary utilities for a stay of a week or so. The host responded quite quickly for requests.

Good value for money, well equipped and clean rooms

The kitchen was well equipped with all necessary electric equipments ( coffee machine, oven boiler .. Etc)

The single beds are not really suitable for a couple. It would be great if there is a king size bed option available. We stayed in the ground floor apartment which was a bit exposed to the street and backyard, which can get a bit uncomfortable especially since there are no curtains on some of the windows.

Alles absolut super gewesen

Alles war ausnahmslos super. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Es gibt nichts auszusetzen und wir werden mit Sicherheit den Schwan sicher wieder besuchen.

Nicht gefallen kann man nicht sagen es wäre schön wenn Raucher nicht immer so weit runter laufen müssten aber das war jetzt auch nicht das dramatische. Im grosen und ganzen gab es nichts was uns nicht gefallen hat.

Sehr praktisch und super geführt

Die Wohnung und die Ausstattung sind seit der Renovierung sehr sehr viel ansprechender und wohnlicher. Der Gastgeber kommuniziert sehr freundlich und sendet viele nützliche Informationen. Check-in über Code läuft super und man braucht keinen Schlüssel.

Es ist immer noch etwas ungemütliche und karge Atmosphäre, könnte man z. B. mit ein paar kleinen Lämpchen oder Nachttischen schon wesentlich auflockern.
