Hotel Obergfell

Die Betreiber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstücksbüffet war sehr gut, habe nichts vermisst.

Es hat mir alles gefallen, vor allem die zwei "Chefs", und die Terrassenlandschaft hinterm Haus finde ich super.

Was hätte besser sein können? Hmmmmmm ... grübel ... da fällt mir jetzt leider gar nichts ein ;-)

Eine Unterkunft zum wohlfühlen. Sauber, ein schöner Garten und sehr nettes personal 😌

The Pros: • The cleanliness and organization of the hotel were up to standard. • The staff at reception were very welcoming and professional, making the check-in process smooth. • There are dedicated areas to store and dry your ski equipment, which is very convenient for winter sports enthusiasts. • The breakfast was typically German, with a good variety of bread, dairy, and wurst options. Definitely one of the better aspects of the stay. • The hotel itself has a cozy atmosphere, which could have been charming under different circumstances.

The Cons: 1. A single bottle of water costs €2.80. That’s a blatant rip-off for something so basic. 2. The owner Andreas was unnecessarily picky and downright unpleasant. For example, during breakfast my wife wasn’t allowed to use just any cup for our coffee—it had to be the one HE dictated. 3. My wife took an extra piece of bread from breakfast to eat later, and Andreas out of the blue came up to our table to charge €5 for it. Who does that? 4. After all these incidents we couldn’t relax for a moment outside our room. He seemed to have his eyes on us the entire time (or maybe cameras?) which was incredibly intrusive and made the whole experience deeply uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else, even if it’s further away. Your peace of mind is worth it.
