Spacious Beach Flat in Costa Caparica by Soulplaces

The apartment was exactly what I expected from the photos. Spacious and uncluttered, with pleasant views of the cliffs behind Costa da Caparica, and with a full kitchen. I had good communication with the hosts via messages. They were generally responsive, and managed to convey a warmth of hospitality even though we only communicated via text. I was also very pleased that they were able to offer early check-in and a later check-out. I brought a lot of equipment with me for my work, and due to the stormy weather, I really appreciated the later check-out so that I didn't have to take everything out in the heavy rain. The stay was for me and a friend to take a bit of time away from the distractions of our families to concentrate on work, and I found the apartment to be a good choice for this. I actually live in Costa da Caparica, closer to the beach than this place, so for me it wasn't about exploring the area, but I do think it's a good area. My children really love the park nearby, which has several playgrounds. For me, a big plus was also that the apartment is only two minutes walk from someone who sells wonderful vegetarian family meal packages (you can search for 'sustenance intuitive cooking'), and so we were easily provided with nutritious food for our stay.

We were a little cold in the evenings sometimes. The living room has some kind of fireplace, but there was a notice on it saying it wasn't working. There were two portable heaters, but the smaller one was quite weak, and the larger one didn't do as much to heat the living room as we'd have liked. However, I was always warm enough at night. Some of the knives provided were in a very poor state, I assume due to mistreatment by a previous guest, but those should really be replaced.

The location was excellent and very convenient. The apartment was spacious, well laid out, and nicely furnished, which made it feel welcoming and comfortable at first.

Unfortunately, the apartment was very cold during our stay. There were only two heaters available, which were not sufficient to properly warm the space. Additionally, the electrical capacity of the apartment was very limited. As soon as we used the heaters together with other appliances such as the dishwasher, kettle, or oven, the power went out in the entire apartment. While the host was quick to respond and very friendly in explaining that the electricity load is capped, it was still inconvenient not being able to heat the apartment properly while using basic appliances like cooking a meal in the oven or making tea.

La casa è nuova e ben conservata, dispone di tutti i comfort e gli elettrodomestici che servono (forno, forno microonde, lavatrice, lavastoviglie, macchina del caffè, tostapane, frullatore ecc.). È ben rifornita con il necessario per una prima colazione. Si trova ben localizzata per andare in spiaggia e per arrivare al centro da Costa de Caparica. Molto vicino si può trovare un supermercato, bar, ristoranti e un bel parco giochi per bambini. Il check-in e il check-out per noi è stato davvero facile e l’host molto molto gentile e molto accogliente. Consigliatissima.
