Hostel Old School

This is a really good option if you don't mind staying out of town or if you own a car. Despite being an older building it looks to have been recently renovated and has a modern feel inside. The room was spacious and beds comfortable. We were lucky to have the shared bathroom to ourselves. Basic breakfast provided. Friendly, chilled staff.

Further from the town centre than what we expected, probably more so because we were on bicycles and it was quite a steep ride to get there with no bike lanes in the city. The kitchen was quite cluttered (with dishes in drying racks and sink) and untidy. Kitchen could really do with a spring clean.

The hostel is lovely, comfortable bed, air conditioning

Staff should be more present in case you need something.

I stayed only one night, arrived super late and left very early, so havrn't met anybody from staff or socialized. Had to dive into my laptop and sleep asap. BUT!! Place is gorgeous, it is actually an old promary school, and is a museum of sort fused with nice basic hostel facilities. Cleanliness was good, only in livingroom i felt a bit of odour, but that could be one of the dweller's socks:) in general descent and clean. Position was perfect for arriving by car. I also apreciate having a reason to not be in center wher it is obviously an epicenter. View over the gulf is beautiful, fresh air washes from the mountains. Dorms were nice, clean basic, all a traveller needs. Dedinetly will pin this place on my map

Kitchen could use one of those paper stickers and a sharpie to mark each person's food. I like clear, organized and this ia suggestion rather than a critique

The host was friendly on the phone but we never actually got to meet them. Free parking. The one good thing about the location is the local restaurant nearby where we ate a delicious Croatian meat platter.

It was so filthy, perhaps because it was being renovated? But that I cannot say for sure. So many dishes piled up in the sink, really gross bathrooms.
