Das Hostel Rijeka

L'espace cuisine est super top ! (Il y a même un four 🤩) Avec un petit balcon accessible Les chambres sont franchement top ! Par rapport au prix, c'est vraiment bluffant Et ultra propre !! J'ai été seule 2/3 nuits et j'ai eu une seule colocataire au cours de mon séjour

L'accès par les escaliers est compliqué avec un gros sac à dos (mais accessible en bus)

Jó környezetben, egy 2-3 fős motoros csapatnak kimondottan ajánlott. Udvaron belül motoros parkolás is lehetséges. Zárható szekrények vannak a szobákban, biztonságos. Közelben vannak jó kis bárok és kávézok esti lazításhoz.

A belső udvar kicsit rendezetlen. A burkolat hiányos.

The room was tidy and spacious enough to comfortably accommodate my luggage as well as everyone else’s. The air conditioning in the room was working well, which was definitely a plus. The check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The owners reach you via WhatsApp and make the communication easy. The kitchen is also quite spacious, with enough room for several people to cook at the same time and seating for around eight people to eat comfortably.

It really doesn’t feel like a hostel, which can be both a pro and a con. For me, one of the main reasons for choosing a hostel is the opportunity to meet and connect with other people, but unfortunately that was quite difficult here. The only common areas are the kitchen and the small balcony next to it. During my few days there, the balcony was mostly occupied by a group of guys from Georgia who spent a lot of time smoking. I didn’t feel comfortable asking them to close the door while they were smoking, so I simply tried to deal with it. I think having someone from the hostel staff present, even occasionally, could have helped prevent situations like this and, more generally, could have made it easier for guests to socialise. I also believe that having someone around would have contributed positively to the social atmosphere of the hostel. Another thing to note is that the city tax could only be paid in cash, which then had to be left in a box according to the instructions provided. Finally, the air conditioning in both the kitchen and the common area was not working during my stay.

Nice kitchen and small balcony. Staff were good with communicating (although only via WhatsApp), close to a nice bar. A nice part of the city although not near the old town.

Aircon barely functioned even though it was ‘repaired’ the day before. Leading it to be over 35 degrees in the upstairs part of the bedrooms. Staff not actually present and although they communicate well via WhatsApp I missed the connection and being able to ask for recommendations or local advice. Too many people in small rooms, although beds nice size.
