Accommodation was great…all mod cons & very comfortable

Loved the decor & set up of the bedrooms. The beds were very comfy & everything was on one level! Fantastic!

The TV set up could have been better, though of course did not go there to watch tv anyway. Just getting in & out of the place by car was a bit of a trial, but we managed.

A lovely location with some lovely little touches, walking routes in the welcome book and tea and milk on arrival. Well stocked kitchen.

It felt a little overlooked if people were using the garden. It could do with hooks for wet coats. It has a narrow drive, tricky for a vw.

Definitely recommend this one as a great place to base yourself to explore the main tourist attractions in Cornwall.

Location awesome. Facilities all you could ask for and more. Quiet and peaceful area with the river rushing alongside the roadway. Helpful and friendly staff and owners. Easy access to township and main roads to other areas of interest. Lovely Devonshire tea provided thank you 😁

Suggestion only, maybe have a few sachets of coffee and sugar available as well as the tea provided? Everything else was amazing 🤩

Peaceful Penzance

Lovely stay, the place was spot clean and had a tranquilness to it that was much welcomed. Would recommend and stay again if the opportunity arises in the future.

Bathroom gets very damp, needs a stronger fan in there. Parking can be a bit difficult and we used the neighbour's garage to turn the car, as going through the circle route was quite difficult for a larger car, very narrow roads ahead.

The apartment was perfectly adequate for a winter break when views or outdoor space are not required.

The location was excellent for local sightseeing. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable, and the wood burner made it nicely warm. Also a dog is allowed without extra charge.

The apartment is very much a basement apartment and Booking.com is completely wrong to use the word cottage at all; it certainly is not that. The lack of outlook and ventilation , with the shady nature of the location means that a ventilation fan is required to run non stop. One bedroom and the bathroom have no window. The parking space is just adequate, but tricky.

We had a lovely break and enjoyed seeing friends and seeing more of Cornwall

Great location for getting around and it was easy to drive into Penzance and all its facilities. Lovely interiors and decoration. Good shower.

Radiators were timed and came on in a set way just for an hour or so first thing and early evening but the one in the bedroom did not come on at all. We assumed this was to reduce energy cost and understood why but it was not as cosy as we hoped. We did not use the log burner which may have helped cosiness, as I was unsure about how it worked and did not want to get wrong the specific instruction on ash waste, It was good to have parking for one car up against the house, but a bit of a challenge getting it turned round up the narrow lane next to the stream.

Small but comfy, clean and convenient.

Welcomed with the ingredients for a cream tea, milk in the fridge but no rinseaid for the dishwasher, Once we had sorted out the heating, it was February and we had turned off the very smelly room scenters, we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay. The little flat is well appointed and has been decorated with thought and consideration but the matress on the bed in the windowed room had a bit of a slope on it to one side, as only I used it it was managable, however two might find it to be a bit different! I would certainly consider booking Chydour again. It is very convenient for visting Penzance and Newlyn. Thank you.

Great hidden gem, spacious, comfortable and well equipped.

Great equipped property with a washer drier, dishwasher full kitchen. Log burner, a very comfy bed in a big room, plenty of wardrobe space and storage. Great location.

It is down a narrow lane, but property has a torch provided for night time, and a great flood light outside the property. We did move one of the bedroom lamps into the lounge for a cosier feel than the main lights.

enjoyable apart from the parking

Plenty of space and well furnished with modern furnishings and appliances. Comfortable.

The parking was difficult as the road was only just wider than the Focus car and with no space to turn around the car had to be reversed down the lane between a stone wall and undergrowth alongside a river which was difficult, Fortunately half way through the stay a friendly neighbour offered us the facility to drive up the lane and turn round in his drive which made things a lot easier

Overall a really lovely place and good experience!

Location is great, rooms and appliances are great, overall cleanliness was good, a really good information pack of things to do and instructions etc.

The bathroom fan isn’t quite strong enough so takes a long time to air out the heat and condensation after a shower which is adding little bits of mould in the corners. Also we were woken up early every morning by running and banging from upstairs which was a little frustrating.

A great place to stay.

~ 25mins walk to Penzance and a bus stop nearby for the Lands End Coaster and the Tin Coaster. Property had everything we needed, towels, linen, hand soap etc. The property does get a little cold but electric heaters, blankets and a lovely fire are supplied to combat this. Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

tolle Wohnung tolle Lage, aber Luft nach oben

Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber, die Lage war ideal, ruhig und doch schnell im Zentrum, wir wurden landestypisch mit allen Zutaten die zu einem cornischen Cream Tea gehören, empfangen, was wir als einen sehr herzlichen Empfang empfanden!

Leider gab es keine gemütliche Sitzmöglichkeit im Freien, das Kücheninventar war leider teilweise verschmutzt und musste erst mal gereinigt werden, die Wohnung war für uns zwei perfekt, aber für 4 Personen etwas zu knapp geschnitten, ein Schlafzimmer war ohne Fenster, die Wohnung war im Souterain und dadurch war die Luftfeuchtigkeit relativ hoch, welche mit einem Luftentfeuchter der 24 Stunden lief, bekämpft wurde, der permanente Luftzug war auf Dauer doch sehr störend
