Fantastic location right in the heart of Pickering and a great base for exploring North Yorkshire. The cottage was very dog friendly and the owners had clearly put a lot of thought into the little extras — things like dog bowls, toys and books for children were really appreciated and made the stay feel very welcoming for families.
The mattresses were much softer than we personally prefer, which affected comfort a bit during our stay. We also felt the layout could have been explained more clearly in the description, as one of the double bedrooms is accessed through the twin room, which may not suit all families or groups.
