Exposed beamed ceilings and wood floors to many of the rooms add charm, while a practical, modern kitchen comes with all the equipment you could need to cook at home and the bathrooms are all stylish and individual. The living room has a particularly cosy feel, with a fireplace for winter escapes and striking red walls. A similar room on the top floor serves as a second lounge and has a sofa bed for two guests – ideal for children. Spend your days by the private pool, which boasts incredible views, or drive less than ten minutes into the town and its famous spas. And for a day out, it's easy to drive to any of the area's main attractions – Florence, Pistoia, Lucca and Pisa. Home truths: *Your home borders the owners' villa to one side – it's separated by a hedge screen to guarantee privacy *Set over three floors, with two staircases, there are lots of steep stairs to content with here so it may not be suitable for small children *Your private pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October *If you're bringing a pet, be aware the grounds are not fully fenced *At capacity, two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed *A cot and high chair are available if you're bringing a little one
