In western Crete, the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea meet rocky beaches, ancient towns, and rugged coastlines. But with a handful of tavernas, local cafés, and natural delights nearby, you’re sure to find serenity in this villa, just five minutes from Livadia Beach. While the island has plenty of history, this home shows Crete’s modern side. Made up of interconnecting stone pillars and wooden beams, you’ll find pagoda-like structures across multi-levelled exteriors. With lush gardens, secluded terraces, a heated pool, and a hot tub up top, we imagine you’ll spend most of your time in the sunshine. But when the afternoon heats up, glide across the elegant flagstone flooring of the living space. High ceilings play host to timber beams painted in traditional blue, contrasting the honey-coloured, exposed stonework walls. Modern furniture clashes tastefully with antique pieces, while wicker and wood are a nod to the natural world. And of course from every window, you’ll catch a spectacular sea view (including the ensuite with its Jacuzzi tub).
