About this house rental
Coming to the mountains doesn't always mean roughing it.....at Main Street Farmhouse, you get the quaint mountain setting while having all of the touches of a modern upscale home to enjoy. This 4 bedroom, 2 full bath remodeled home offers sleeping space for up to 15 guests. Featuring Smart TVs in all bedrooms, living room, den and loft; and a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. Relax on the back porch and use the gas grill or hang out by the fire pit after a long day on the trails. Ride in the mountains of East TN right in the back yard! Ample parking for trailers. Less than 1/2 mile to Trails 26 and 27 of Windrock Park. ATVs can drive on the road to trails. Located at the foot of Windrock, situated close to Brimstone. The home was featured in the film October Sky. If possible, we can work with you on early check in or late departure just simply ask and we will do our best.

The property was beautiful and cozy! The new owners did an amazing job renovating this old house! I believe it said it was built in the 1890s! They had local newspaper clippings displayed on the walls about the movie October Sky being filmed in the town which is pretty neat! Quiet area. Loved sitting on the front porch in the rocking chairs in the morning while drinking coffee and in the evening before bed. Beds and couches were very comfortable! Check out the historic prison and distillery which is super close to the house! Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. We went to Windrock Park. The only complaint was that the bathtub faucets needed to be replaced or fixed because they were coming out of the wall and caulking needs redone. Shower still worked fine. The upstairs had mini splits in each bedroom which was great for keeping it cool, but they were noisy. It didn’t bother our family members or kids that slept up there, but it might bother light sleepers like me. I’d still recommend this property! Check in was easy and the host communicated perfectly! We enjoyed our stay!
