About this house rental
I bought this property 30 years ago after completing two years in the Peace Corps. We built the house in 2006 and love the secluded setting with incredible mountain views. You can watch Toucans and monkeys in the trees while you are drinking coffee on the massive deck. The house is in the hills above the town of Dominical, so it is close to both beaches and mountains and is secluded but also close to restaurants and stores.
There is a main house and a guesthouse so it is great for large groups. The house has an open layout and includes lots of wood paneling, ceramic tile floors, and extra high ceilings to maximize views and breezes.
The beach is 10 minutes away, and both Manuel Antonio National park in Quepos and Whale Tail National park in Uvita are 30 minutes away. We love it and you will love it too.

Very nice home in a nice private setting in the countryside. Could see toucans from the deck most days. Well equipped with everything we needed. The one thing it doesn’t have is A/C, so it get quite hot and humid by late afternoon. It wouldn’t have been too bad, but 3 of the 5 ceiling fans didn’t work, so it took most of the night to cool down. The other negative was the poor communication from the manager. Some things took up to a day or two to get a response, some things I never got a response on and had to keep emailing the owner to get answers, and some things I did get a response. Checkin went well though and luckily we had good communication for that.

The place really made our vacation! It was spacious and gave us the chance to host friends and family. It was well laid out and had all the necessary amenities for us to cook our meals there and just hang out. The location was phenomenal- smack dab in the rain forest but only 15 minutes from the beach and the chill surfing village of Dominical. We saw and heard amazing wildlife throughout our stay. A short walk up the hill and we saw amazing sunsets over the ocean. The host Erik was responsive and very helpful. Dominical is a place you can stay for a while because there’s a lot to do that’s nearby, and good restaurants. It’s very friendly and safe.

Ok, I will start by mentioning that this house is really beautiful, the view in the back of it is breathtaking, if somebody loves animals this is the place to be plus is very close to the beach only 20 minutes away is Playa Dominical great place to enjoy the water
