This cottage was perfect for a quick weekend away. The location was very close to town and the water. The cottage on the smaller side, but perfect for our family with little children. They loved playing in the silo. Kitchen was well stocked and it had all the simple necessities we needed for a short weekend.

The silo house is a comfortable house with lots of space. The kitchen is especially great with good appliances and plenty of room. We enjoyed the open layout. It was also conveniently located in Fairhope - we were going to the Yacht club throughout the day and the drive was very easy.

Upon arriving at the Silo house I found the outside large chairs on the deck to be unusable due to algae, bird droppings, tree debris and dirt. There was also dog mess left in the yard that we had to clean up. I sent a message and photos of the chairs to the host, and the response was that they would need to look into replacing the cushions, but that was not done during our stay. Also that the dog mess issue would be noted but again that doesn’t do me any good. The major issue is that the bedroom to the right was extremely hot- there are no a/c vents in that room and we had to put a fan outside the door to pump cool air into the space just to be able to sleep. The beds were comfortable, but the sheets had extreme pilling from wear. The fence and landscaping both need attention. Unique property in a great location, but maintenance is overdue.
