I would recommend this property, especially if you’re looking for a quiet, wooded retreat that’s still conveniently located—about 15 minutes from Traverse City. The home was clean, and the property manager was responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. We weren’t traveling with pets, but it was clear this is a pet-friendly home (water bowls were out and there was some expected wear on the floors). The downstairs beds were comfortable.A couple things to be aware of: as other reviewers have mentioned, the checkout process is more involved than many vacation rentals we’ve stayed in. Guests are asked to strip all the beds, take out all the trash, and start laundry before leaving. Also, the home provides more limited starter supplies than we’ve experienced elsewhere (for example, no shampoo or conditioner), so plan accordingly.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the peaceful location, cleanliness, and excellent communication from the property manager.

Good location and very quiet. Comfortable and clean, everthing we needed to prepare meals was available. There was even a rice cooker. The lighting was not bright enough in any of the rooms. Maybe some higher wattage bulbs would help. If guests are permitted to park in the garage, a remote for the garage door would be nice.

This place was in a great location to access Traverse city and everything the leelanau peninsula has to offer. However, the place, while immaculately clean, is not updated and doesn’t seem worth the price we paid for it. The yard appeared to be fenced in at first glance but we soon saw that the gate was broken so we couldn’t let our pup out. The beds were uncomfortable and the kitchen could have been better stocked. Also, the downstairs shower was broken so we essentially had access to 1.5 showers rather than the 2 listed. Not a bad place but lots of room for improvement!
