Nestled amongst the trees of the National Forest, it offered easy car access while still feeling wonderfully secluded.Mt. Ida itself is a charming small town, but you'll need to venture out for any significant shopping or dining.The cabin itself was exceptionally well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. The lack of WiFi, while initially surprising, actually proved to be a blessing, encouraging our family to disconnect and reconnect with each other. We would absolutely consider booking again.

The fridge was cold and has ice and water in the door. The sheets, towels, and covers were plentiful and the beds were so comfortable. We could hear so lots of birds from the porch and decks and saw many deer in this very wooded area. This beautiful house and furnishings exceeded our expectations and we will be back. The driveway is long but goes all the way back down to the road on the other side of the house so you don't have to try to back a boat trailer up. We appreciated the owners' attention to detail and desire that we enjoy our stay. Can't wait to visit this house again!

My family (four people) joined my sister’s family ( three people) for four nights after Christmas. We had a great time relaxing, sitting around the fire pit and playing board games. The cabin was so quiet and exactly what we all needed. We brought our groceries with us but there was a grocery store maybe 10 miles away. Close to Hot Springs but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of it all.

Very comfortable accommodations. Visited in November so not many vacationers in the area. Very quiet neighborhood. Everything worked well in house. If you plan on using the fire pit outside, bring some wood with you. We enjoyed one campfire before the rains started. Our 4 night stay was very relaxing and well worth it.

Our family had a wonderful time at this place. It was clean and very relaxing. The screened patio was perfect for card games and the couch was great for watching movies in the evening. It’s close to a resort to rent a boat and has a quaint little cafe that was delightful. We would definitely recommend this place!

The rental and check-in process was completely smooth. The property manager sent all of the details well in advance. The cabin was immaculate. Gorgeous screened-in porch off the living room and balcony off the master bedroom. There's no wifi, but that turned out just fine because there's plenty to see and do. The location was amazing. Abundant wildlife in the area...saw deer in the yard and pileated woodpecker on the trail. It's about a mile to the nearest hiking trailhead and a couple of miles to the Shangri-La Resort, which has a good restaurant and a really nice little marina with boat rentals by the day. There's a well-appointed grocery store just down the road in Mount Ida, and Hot Springs is a 30-minute drive or so. We had a great time here!

This cabin was really nice. It was extremely clean and had amble gathering space for two families. The access to Lake Ouachita vista trail was literally across the street. Communication was quick for anything we needed. Hot water ran out fast but there was eight of us. We really enjoyed our stay,

Great place for a weekend getaway. Husband and kids had a fishing tournament on Lake Ouachita and I was able to enjoy the peace and quite. The bed in the master bedroom was really comfortable. The cabin had everything we needed for the weekend. Would definitely recommend.

Relaxing weekend escape

This cabin was wonderful for a long weekend close to home. It was extremely clean, and check-in was easy. Jo Ann was responsive and easy to work with leading up to our visit. We loved the massive kitchen with plenty of room to prep food and cook. When we did not feel like cooking, we drove down the road (less than a 5-minute drive) to Shangri-La Resort for down-home diner food and world-class pies. The beds in the cabin were incredibly comfortable - more comfortable than a hotel! I spent hours reading in the cozy living room, and we also watched Hogs basketball on the TV (so many channels!). We want to come back during warmer weather to use the large deck (fully enclosed - perfect for keeping the bugs away) and the firepit. The cabin is also within walking distance of several day hikes in the Ouachita National Forest. As a bonus, we got to bring along our dog, who loved exploring the area around the cabin. There is even a small fenced-in dog run off the back deck. We had a great stay and highly recommend this cabin. Lots of room, huge kitchen, and pet friendly!
