Private Casita, 1 acre, large heated pool, BBQ, RV/Boat parking, Close to lakes

Our overall stay was great. There were a number of issues we encountered.The kitchen drawers (inside) were not the cleanest - crumbs in a number of the drawers. The sofa sleeper was quite beat up. They said there would be blankets for the sleeper in a coffee table - no blankets! The pool was super dirty. While there was an automatic vacuum, it stayed in the exact spot our entire visit. There was a definite algae problem in the pool. L

The Casita is comfortable and perfect for a couple. We had the pool to ourselves for 5 days and it was heated perfectly. There is an extra charge for heating the pool but well worth it!!! Great experience overall!!

The pool was not clean or heated, as requested. The casita was clean and comfortable. There was a dog loose several times on the property. Communication was very poor. It took 2 days to get a call back and several hours to get a message on the app returned. We usually get prompt responses with VRBO rentals, but apparently this property is no longer listed, and the owners are less concerned about renter satisfaction.

The location was a little hard to find but once in the yard it was very quiet and secure. Outside the pool and grounds were quaint however an empty non operable hot tub was a tease. I would have preferred the hot tub over the pool. The Casita interior was small and efficient. Overall, the interior was a good build.There was no dishwasher, no bowls for serving, the cookware was worn Teflon pans (toxic) so I purchased a decent pan and left it behind for the next person, no towels or rags for the kitchen, the Keurig machine was almost dead, the TV remotes were almost out of power and difficult to use, water temperatures were dangerously hot, the master bedroom door does not latch so it cannot be secured at night, but the absolute worst thing was the bed. Eight nights of a cheap hard mattress that looks like it came from a discount store. The headboard banged against the wall when I sat on it as the box spring oddly clunked under my weight (225). I had to take naps in order to make up for the sleep I lost at night tossing and turning in pain. In my opinion the bed is prob the most important feature of a VRBO. If guests can't sleep what is the point in being there. We did have at least 1 awkward encounter with the owner who told my wife his last girlfriend had her name.
