This beautifully updated modern rustic cabin offers two bedrooms and is designed for comfort, connection, and memorable family time. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Bears Den in River Spruce! The part we loved most was the location to everything. The Big Thompson River was right outside our cabin door, maybe 30 ft away. We spent our mornings drinking coffee and our evenings winding down next to the river each day. Loved that!!! The RMNP Beaver Entrance was about five minutes away from our cabin which made sunrise visits to Sprague Lake and star gazing at Bear Lake very easy. The shops downtown were about 10 minutes away from the cabin. About the cabin itself… it is full of character. If you are looking for the comforts of modern day living, this is not for you. This cabin is more like a “cabin built by my great grandpa” type of cabin. The lack of light switches in the bedrooms definitely shows its age, but that makes it all the more special! The cabin itself was clean. However, the fans in the closet (there is no a/c) need a good cleaning. We didn’t use the hot tub because we enjoyed sitting by the river more. All of the maintenance people we spoke with were super nice. We would ABSOLUTELY stay at this cabin again!!!

The location of this cabin is fantastic. The the river outside the cabin is peaceful and the host provides a variety of seating options to enjoy the scenery. The cabin is very small for a family of 4 and could use a few updates to help it become more comfortable. The cabin does not include AC, but if you keep the window shades closed in the afternoon and open the windows at night it will stay comfortable (for reference, our stay was the very end of June with highs of 80ish).
