Beds were super comfortable. Location was just across the street from access to a lovely beach, complete with showers. A 20- 30-minute walk got you to Manuel Antonio National Park. Good value.
Rooms were dated and on the shabby side. Would have been greatly improved to have tea kettle and the ability to make coffee. "Locking" closet did not lock. Had to be careful to keep bathroom door from shutting completely or you couldn't get back in -- but also had to keep door as close to shut as possible to preserve A/C since there was a big hole to the outside. Construction during the day for the first few days of our stay was very disruptive and made it impossible to enjoy the pool.

Pool (not the cleanest though), location close to NP Manuel Antonio, very friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel clearly underwent some substantial renovation while I stayed there - unfortunately, my room was not yet renovated and pretty ramshackle.
