About this apartment rental
Covered ocean front deck to watch the sunrise with coffee in the morning. Butterfly stairs lead you to a beautiful, protected beach. There are 3 additional decks off of the bedrooms. Great kitchen with Sub Zero refrigerator. Master Bedroom has king size bed and a private bathroom with a Tub and a separate shower. Two other bedrooms has private bathrooms. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom

The view was breathtaking, loved eating meals on the porch watching the waves crash on shore. Aside from being beachfront, it was also in a less busy part of OC which we loved. The house itself was very pretty, but needs a few repairs here and there( the slider in master bedroom doesn’t lock, several tears in sofas, difficult to regulate AC). Nothing that impaired our enjoyment of the property, we had a wonderful stay! Would definitely book again!

Let me start off with the positive which is admittedly a big one. The view and location are fantastic and it's probably very difficult to find that kind of location at the price we paid.
We mostly knew what we were getting into when we rented the place because we'd read the prior reviews, but there were still some additional surprises. As previously mentioned the condition of the place is not great. The door to the deck off the master bedroom does not lock and neither does one of the doors to the deck in one of the other bedrooms. That door is warped or damaged in someway that makes it difficult to close. Numerous pieces of furniture have stains or rips in the cushions. The place appears to be cleaned between rentals but only the table/counter surfaces, floors, etc. It does not appear that things like vents, fans and blinds are ever cleaned and were caked with dust. One of the back bedrooms does not have a smoke detector. Instead there is a wire hanging from the ceiling that it would connect to. There also a lack of amenities i.e. paper towels, hand soap, cleaning products etc. that when normally expects when renting on VRBO or its competitor. There were almost no bath towels and zero hand towels but there was plenty of bedding. Homeowner is completely aware of these issues and doesn't seem to care. He initially took to long to approve the reservation and VRBO auto cancelled. Other questions took longer than expected or were ignored.
