We love staying at the Russian River and experience different places to stay. Uncle Jays's did not disappoint. Good location. Per the description we thought we would be able to walk into Guerneville, but the road was tricky so we drove. It was very close so not too bad. Lots to explore around the area - Duncan Mills, Monte Rio, etc. The cabin is comfortable once you figure out some of the technology. From the balcony you are actually looking at other homes/cabins that also face the cabin. We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary and had a really nice time!

We had a very good stay (2 nights). The cabin is clean, good beds and nice shower. Very comfortable with 3 friends, as each had our own bedroom!! Kitchen has everything. Unfortunately it was too chilly to sit outside on the little patio for our morning coffee. Enough to discover in and around Guerneville. Would recommend. Good price.

The pictures make this cabin appear to be in a quiet wooded neighborhood as does the description. Not true. Its located on a major highway with loud traffic noise a constant. This important fact was not disclosed until a few days before the trip when I was sent the address. This apparently accounts for the cheaper rent. Even the back patio was disappointing as the noise was loud there too. If the noise doesn't bother you then I would highly recommend it. The cabin itself was exactly as advertised - clean, very comfortable, nicely appointed (could use some pictures on the walls), lots of conveniences, modern, very nice. Fortunately I had good earplugs that mostly blocked out the sound at night since I'm a light sleeper.

Myself and two girlfriends celebrated our 40th birthdays this past weekend at Uncle Jay’s cabin. It was very clean, the location was perfect, and we enjoyed the wood burning stove for fires. Any questions I had prior to the trip were answered promptly. Beds were comfy and shower was hot. One of the three bedrooms has a futon which worked good for our group. The noise from the road may bother some but wasn’t a issue for us. We would stay again!

We returned to Uncle Jay’s cabin after five days in the Redwoods for the last leg of our road trip. Unfortunately, we arrived just as the big storm did. We lost power about an hour after checking in and unfortunately had to cut our trip short and did not stay very long. None of this, of course was the fault of the property owners. The cabin was, once again, impeccably clean. It is really one of the cleanest vacation rentals we have ever stayed at, and we travel quite a bit. Cynthia was a great host for the time that we were there and stayed in touch with us throughout the power outage to make sure we were OK. I would highly recommend this cabin to anybody visiting the Guerneville area and we look forward to going back to complete our trip. We will definitely stay here again!

We loved staying at this cozy cabin in the woods. It was impeccably clean and the owners thoughtfully provided so many little things (like soap, laundry detergent, saran wrap, etc.) which were very convenient to have. Cynthia was SO responsive when I had to reach out to her. The location of the cabin is great! We were able to drive over to Point Reyes National Seashore along the Bohemian Highway and spent another day exploring Jenner, Bodega Bay, and Dillon Beach. There is a Safeway very conveniently located nearby where you can get groceries. We would definitely recommend this rental and will return again very soon.
