We had so much fun at this cute cabin in the trees - convenient location near the Guerneville town center, well appointed and super clean/comfy with nice amenities. In very hot weather, the lack of AC might be an issue for some, but it cooled down at night for us and the temps were fine overall. The front patio is a lovely hangout space with a great hot tub amid towering trees. Awesome river beach access right across the main road, something that we weren't sure about from the listing, so I wanted to mention it here for those who like an easy place to walk down to swim, float and lay out with some cold drinks. Perfect for our moms' & teenage daughters' getaway! Very reasonably priced for a great experience, and they were nice about helping us with early check in. We would definitely stay here again!

My husband and I spent our 30 year Anniversary here and we’re not disappointed! Beautiful and cool decorating inside the very clean well stocked home. Gorgeous deck to enjoy wine and redwoods while in hot tub. Perfect little beach across street where we could walk a path to river in about 5 minutes! We had our Golden Retriever with us and he loved it as well. House is very dog friendly. We would love to come back again!

We had a wonderful stay at The Red Door Cabin. The cabin is beautifully decorated and all of the little touches made it very welcoming. The outdoor deck/patio was our favorite spot to sip coffee each morning and wine each evening. Doris was a very responsive and professional host. The redwoods were beautiful and we can’t wait to come back to this wonderful gem.

We loved the Redwood Treehouse!! Our family met there from PA, WA and Northern California to meet our new grandson Caleb and reunite after a long CoVid gap. Everything we needed was there, the deck with its canopy of gorgeous redwoods set the stage for great food, warm conversation and coloring and hide and seek.

I brought my 21 year old daughter with me for a few days of rest and relaxation, and this cottage was the perfect getaway. Very comfortably furnished, with cozy seating, a gas fireplace, a hot tub, and two decks to enjoy the redwoods and creek views.
We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again sometime!

The cottage is wonderful. Well stocked and nicely furnished. We did have a really bad ant problem that was truly a nuisance and also parking is difficult! I will commend the owners for all the nice details they provide the renters...soaps, toilet paper, even a dish of candy! I would certainly recommend this property!

This cabin was in a great location and the surroundings were lovely. It is updated and charming. Nice artwork, bedding, comfortable beds, and stocked kitchen. The sound of the creek behind the house was very relaxing. it has a one pass, continuous hot water heater which is great. The little town it is in is cute and Armstrong Redwood Reserve is just down the street. I highly recommend a trip there.
A few things to consider before you rent this place:
1. There is alot of large furniture in a small cabin and A LOT of decor/knick knacks on all surfaces. No surfaces were bare. While it looks nicely staged, we had to be very careful moving around. Keep arms and shoulders tucked in and be careful not to bump anything so we didn't break anything. My husband is 6 ft 3 so he would walk kind of sideways in the hallway to make sure he didn't hit the table full of stuff. This is not a place for children, to much breakable stuff.
2. There were a ton of complicated looking coffee related apparatus in the kitchen but no instructions on how to use it. We didn't want to mess anything up, so we drank tea.
3. The outdoor deck is a wonderful place to spend the evening. It has a fire pit and and blocked from the road so it is private. However, there is a camera by the front door that captures the entire deck so you are being watched! The hot tub is a great addition to the deck, but if you want to use it, remember, you are being watched! We did not use it. Once we noticed the camera, it felt like an invasion of privacy to have the camera in what seemed to be a private space. Although we were not doing anything other than drinking a glass of wine and chatting by the firepit, it made us uncomfortable. If you don't mind having someone with the ability to monitor your every move on the deck, then you don't need to worry about it.
4. Looks like they are adding an addition to the cabin with a laundry room and mudroom type area. It will be really nice when its done. However, the sliding glass door does not lock. Make sure the gate is locked when you leave or anyone could get in the house.
5. In the kitchen and bathrooms there are several slippery rugs because they are on wood floors with no rug pads to help them stay put. It would be very easy to fall, so we moved some of them. So, just be careful.
This is obviously a cabin that is loved and taken care of. As long as you are aware of these few things, It is a great place to stay.
