Enjoy a modern take on a historic Capitol Hill home, just a stone’s throw from the U.S. Capitol and Eastern Market. This charming carriage house converted to a modern loft features a shared courtyard, Roku-equipped TVs, abundant natural light, and a relaxing steam shower.
Conveniently located near the Metro’s Blue, Orange, and Silver lines, the home is also within walking distance of Eastern Market, open most days, as well as a local farmers market held on Tuesdays and weekends.
The upper floor features an open-concept layout, with a bunk bed on one side and a queen bed on the other. Please note that there is no door separating the two sleeping areas. A collapsible privacy screen is provided for added separation when desired.
Parking Information: As is common on Capitol Hill and in many major cities, parking can be challenging. The property does not offer on-site parking. Street parking is free overnight, but during the day, vehicles must be moved every two hours.
We strongly recommend using public transportation, rideshare services, or taxis to get around. If you plan to bring a vehicle, please be prepared for limited parking availability and the need to move your car frequently.

We had a rocky start to our stay. I received only 24 hours’ notice that my original reservation was being changed to a different property. I was told it was an upgrade, however it rented for less money, I don’t think it was an upgrade. When we arrived, we couldn’t get into the rental because the lock wasn’t working, and it took two trips from management to resolve it.On the positive side, management was exceptionally responsive and pleasant throughout, and they genuinely tried to help. Once inside, the place itself was nice. The kitchen was excellent, and the overall space was comfortable. My bedroom didn’t have any drawers for unpacking, and the other “make shift” bedroom didn’t have a closet. The neighborhood was lovely, and once the initial issues were sorted out, we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Bright Capitol Hill. It was a very convenient location, clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable and it was a quaint little place close to the Capitol. I highly recommend this place when visiting Washington DC.

The house was a perfect layout for our family of 4. The kids love the bunkbed! We walked to the Downtown for dinner and had a really fun time at the Sunday farmers market! Veronica was a great host and I highly recommend staying at their carriage house.
