Dog Friendly Scenic Salida Getaway - Minutes to Mountain Bike Trails and downtown Salida

This Salida home was an absolutely amazing and beautiful experience for our family getaway. The house had plenty of space for us to gather together, and also, to spread out and be on our own. The bedrooms were large, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was great for cooking and sitting around the large table. The downstairs toilet gave us trouble, and the property manager responded with a maintenance worker coming within 15 minutes to repair it on July 4. We were impressed with the quick response. Unfortunately, it overflowed again after it had the maintenance done, and we had to mop it up with towels and wash them, but it didn’t cause a major hassle, just was very inconvenient. The views are truly incredible and are 360. We enjoyed the hot tub while viewing the sunset. We had two great mornings hiking the trails at the super close trailhead up the road. I knew the home didn’t have AC, so I brought a small fan which was needed when we gathered in the living room, and I would recommend if you visit in the summer. The owners and property managers would have no control over nature, but the day we arrived, the air was extremely smoky from nearby wildfires, so we had to choose between opening the windows and smelling the smoke and being in a stuffy room. The bedrooms all have box fans to turn on at night when it’s hot and stuffy, thankfully. I highly recommend this getaway for a trip with a group to Salida and wish I could rate it a 4.8 or so.

Great stay- plenty of room! Hot tub was awesome with the views, and all the windows!!! Easy dirt road to get to location. Lots of wildlife and close to amenities. Loved it!
