About this house rental
This two bedroom, two bath has been recently updated with new flooring and kitchen countertops. But, you won't be inside much because the beach is only about 100 feet away. The house also has a nice, fenced-in front porch perfect for catching some sun during the day or listening to the waves and feeling the sea breeze at night. There are also several beach bars and restaurants within an easy 10-15 walk including The Surf, Sliders, Hammerheads, and V Pizza. The large living room is open to the dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances. The master bed room is also large with plenty of space for cloths and an en suite bathroom. The second bedroom has plenty of sleeping space with a double bed and twin day bed. Plenty of parking in the back.

Slightly surprised that it was a traditional keyed lock, the house was clean but slightly dated in some areas. Location is great for the beach. Fenced in area is small, was hard for my older dog.

Loved the location very close to beach and restaurants:) Jerry was great he took care of our every need. Cottage was very clean and organized. Loved being able to have our German Shepherd Rose, staying there with us, so many places have ( silly) weight requirements. Would definitely stay there again!

The place was in a great location and just enough room for our family. The host kept great communication throughout our stay.

This cottage was found clean and for the most part comfort. The king size mattress is supportive and there are new kitchen appliances although a few burners did not work. Lots of hot water.
The real problem is with the foundation that is cracked causing the back floors to be uneven. Additionally, the outside fenced area for our pup is rough with a rotting wood fence that could be easily blown over with a strong wind. The area along side of the house needs a serious clean up.
We can see where the owner attempted to make improvements and as past rental property owners we can recognize his efforts but there are areas that need attention, the problem area with the foundation being a serious issue. Not sure what can be done there.
Other problems were several of the windows have cracks and the screens are ripped. Unacceptable.
The location was amazing which made up for less then a desirable accommodation.
The beach is vast and an easy walk. The historic area has many restaurants and shops and we enjoyed exploring.
Amelia Island surprised us with much to do even in January.
