The view and setup was really great. It housed our large group very well. The management company that the owner utilized was very kind and responsive. However, the air did not work in the main cabin area, where the kitchen and living room is. We were not able to use this large space during our stay, as the temperature got as high as 85. The management company got an HVAC technician out there on the second (last) day of our stay, but the temperature still hovered around 80. The morning of our departure, the temps got down to normal. I am not sure how it would have creeped up as the outdoor temps rose, as there were only 3 floor vents in that large space. I would be careful about renting this in the summer, as it kind of ruined our trip. We were really hoping to utilize that large gathering area for eating and games! The two smaller cabins were great temperature-wise.

We just returned from one of the most fun weekends of our lives! The Moose Lodge was the perfect place to celebrate my sisters upcoming nuptials. The backdrop of the lake was so beautiful and tranquil. The cabins themselves were cozy, clean and had such cute decorations. Think warm wood finishes, comfy blankets, robes and a fire outside! Whether we were sipping coffee on the deck, hot tubbing, or relaxing inside the main house, everything about the lodge was perfect! CC was an amazing host! One of the best I’ve had! She was incredibly welcoming and responsive. You can really feel how much she loves this place. Thank you CC! We hope to be back.

We had a great time during our stay! The owners were very accessible for questions and even replaced the TV during our stay when the TV speaker wasn't working. The kids loved the fire pit and there was a lovely view of the lake. The location is peaceful and we enjoyed a lot of outdoor time thanks to the beautiful weather. Great place for a family gathering!

We had the most wonderful weekend at the Moose Lodge. The grounds are perfect for a group with kids and adults. The kids were occupied romping around the property and adults could sit out under the trees and enjoy a beautiful view. The property itself was by far the most well-stocked vacation rental we have ever had.
If you are considering a property on Lake Travis, do not hesitate, book the Moose Lodge. You will not be disappointed.

We had a party/family get together, so we had plenty of space and all rooms were clean. I wish the owner would have let me lower the temperature for the air conditioner but other than that “everything was great!!” Our host, Chadwin was “awesome “, he was prompt and very helpful!!! An abso 5-star!!!

Our family stayed at The Moose Lodge for a weekend celebration of life for my Husband. It was perfect. We could not have chosen a better venue for all of us to be gathered together. Truly, it was just perfect. Do not hesitate to bring your family and friends to share this magic spot .

We were planning to enjoy the lake as implied but had to rapidly plan something else as the lake is a long ways away. The locals told us that has been true for a few years.
There are miscellaneous items in need of maintenance everywhere (no I'm not being picky).
It's has historic charm but needs some polishing and it would be good to make it more obvious that the lake (reservoir) is highly variable,

We hosted a group of teenagers for a birthday weekend here. There is plenty of space for everyone at bedtime, with comfortable beds. The living room is a great size for a movie, and the backyard has games and room to play.
Some downsides for our stay - we didn’t receive the entry code before arrival and couldn’t reach the manager all day so we had to reach out to VRBO for support from the driveway, hoping that there wasn’t a mix up with 12 boys standing in the front yard. Once we got in, one of the ACs in the main cabin also did not work during our stay. Someone came out to fix it on our second day but it needed more extensive repairs.
A few other things out of anyone’s control -
Lake levels are pretty low now so we couldn’t use the dock and amenities very much. The property is also very close to the neighbors homes - we were careful to shut things down at 10pm out of respect for them.
This is a nice property, in a quiet area with plenty of room for a big group.

The property was great awesome view of the Lake and plenty to do outside. We did notice cobwebs in all the cabins. But other than that it was very nice inside and had all that we needed to have a relaxing stay. Would definitely stay again

Beautiful outdoor area. Our weather was bad so we weren't able to enjoy the amenities. The cabins were nice so the family could have their own space. It would have been nice to have TV's in the outer cabins. The wifi in main cabin was good but weak in the two other cabins. Great family vacation time.

The house is lovely, but the hosts are what made the difference. You feel at home away from home. Pampered and taken care of. The beds are excellent quality. There are plenty of towels. Lots of entertaining games. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The pantry has a collection of "mini donations" from everyone that have stayed there making it very friendly. "No need to bring your salt and pepper shakers on your vacation" kind of thing.
We will definitely repeat!
Thank you!

The property is well appointed and the dock/lakefront is wonderful (the water level had receded when we were there but this is out of the host's control). The backyard area is a perfect hang out spot with all the seating, lights, and activities as well as the hot tub. Host was extremely communicative, friendly, and accomodating to our needs.
Spicewood/lake Travis itself is a great spot with no shortage of activities and this house is just a.short drive away from all of them.

Awesome time for a big group - what a property!
Our group of 15 guys had a blast staying at Moose Lodge for a long weekend. The property itself is incredible with a great view of Lake Travis and plenty of outdoor space for activities. The cabin set-up made it feel like a campsite but with modern rooms / amenities and there were plenty of beds for everyone. Scott and Robert were easy to work with, and though nothing went wrong during our stay, we felt like if anything came up we'd be taken care of. The only word of advice would be to pre-arrange any transportation you need to downtown Austin or the airport because Ubers are scarce, but otherwise we can't wait to come back!

Moose Lodge was an absolute dream location and stay for us. Tyler and I were able to enjoy this beautiful property with family and friends as we tied the knot. Everyone that joined us raves about the beautiful views, amazing accommodations and proximity to town. We will definitely be staying here again and referring to family and friends.

We had an amazing time at Moose Lodge, wish we would have booked for longer. The separate cabins are great giving everyone their own space while the main cabin is perfect for gathering. Spaces are well stocked with all the necessities along with so many little thoughtful details. Super clean. Beautiful views, easy lake access with both tram and stairs. Fire pit and hot tub rounded out the trip! Will definitely look to book again for another family gathering. Thanks so much!

We had a wonderful weekend at Moose Lodge (ML). The owners were easy to communicate and worked to address our questions prior to and during our stay. We had a variety of ages and there was plenty for everyone to enjoy on the property (fishing, cornhole, hammocks, hot tub). Marble Falls is about 20 minutes from ML and definitely worth exploring. We also visited The Exotic Resort Zoo in Johnson City (about 30 minutes from ML), a surprisingly fun zoo experience; take the guided tractor tour, it’s worth it!
Things to note:
The lake is 176 steps down from where the cabins sit. The elevator will take you to the original waterline, but since the lake is down about 30%, it's an additional several, very steep steps, to get to the boat dock. Since we were there in February, we didn't spend much time by the water, but definitely something to note if visiting in the summer months.
The pictures and descriptions of the bedrooms and bathrooms on this site are a bit confusing; there is definitely room for 20 people but below is a more specific breakdown:
Cabin 1 (main cabin) --Room 1: 1 king bed (master bedroom/bathroom), full bathroom, Room 2: Queen bed and daybed with trundle, jack-and-jill bathroom, Room 3: 2 full size beds, shared bathroom; living room has a large, comfortable couch, the main kitchen and a table that seats 10 adults
Cabin 2--studio with a queen bed, full bathroom, daybed and trundle, kitchenette (tiny fridge)
Cabin 3--Room 1: king bed, full bathroom, Room 2: 2 queen over queen bunkbeds, full bathroom
