About this cottage rental
Darling new home near the Bike Trail in Brevard, NC! Minutes from downtown, shopping & restaurants. Pull right into the driveway, long enough for 3 cars. Built in 2021, this home features wide white oak floors to welcome you home. Entry from Fisher Road is on a darling stone-floored covered porch, a perfect spot in nice weather for reading and resting. The neighbors are really friendly here! Inside, rustic wood accents the charming open living room ~ dining space and multi-cook kitchen. In fact, there is a 3" thick plank of poplar acting as prep/serving space between the kitchen and dining room. Mountain touches combine with the latest conveniences. We offer cooking with separate microwave oven and even a handy smaller countertop toaster oven. The pantry closet offers plentiful shelving for food, paper goods and supplies. There is lots more food and equipment storage adjacent to the kitchen in the roomy Laundry Room just off the kitchen with brand-new washer and dryer all ready for you. There is even a Crock-Pot and wok stored in the first base cabinet (since they wouldn't fit in the kitchen). With loads of conveniences, culinary tools and small appliances, cooking and sharing meals with friends is easy and relaxing. There is a separate lovely cherry dining room table seating 6 comfortably as your true dining room, tucked between the living space and the kitchen. The left side of this cottage is "open plan" allowing visibility from front porch to back covered landing and yard beyond. One of our fave spots is the swing out back.
The private Master Bedroom suite is on the other side of the first floor, and is very spacious. Not only is there a comfy chair for reading, but also a long, maple bench for sitting or for your things. Two huge closets provide lots of places for your clothing, suitcases and even work items. The other 2 very large bedrooms share the roomy upstairs, with a nice bath and even offer extra linens in a large closet. One 2nd floor bedroom holds a queen bed, charming bench and plenty of dresser drawers for your things. The other 2nd floor bedroom holds two twin size daybeds, one with a trundle that rolls underneath. There are, then, three twin beds in this room, along with handy storage baskets under one daybed for toys and “stuff”. There's a "living/sitting room" area on the 2nd floor landing, quiet but in a sunny, bright spot, in the center of the second floor. Both upstairs bedrooms have very wide double windows and enormous walk-in closets. There is loads of space up there, all very bright and cheerful!
Most windows include high-end Hunter-Douglas custom fabric window shades that allow "top down ~ bottom up" operation, giving maximum light while maintaining complete privacy.
